The Cabanas Hotel at Sun City Resort
8/10 Good
"The Cabanas hotel is great for families or if you want to stay at Sun City on a budget. The rooms have great showers and being in the ground floor you e got use of sunbeds. Out look fantastic in block 23, must say rooms spotless, staff great but it’s in need of a bit of TLC. The breakfast buffet plentiful but weekends are busy and can be noisy. The walks, the amenities and swimming pools fab, so much to do and see. Crazy golf and water world all extra. Lost city and wave world awesome. Evening walk around the golf course stunning specially with the visiting animals. One thing though if you want to do a safari send an enquiry don’t wait till you’re there. Also be aware if you arrange a taxi you’re best to ask the hotel to let the front gate know otherwise outside companies find it difficult to gain entrance. We’ve had a great few days sad to leave but would have preferred more of a hotel style holiday than the apartment style. We had a lovely meal at the Gary player clubhouse recommend trying the hole-in-one cocktail Sun City a fabulous location, great for all ages. So much to do and enjoy for all ages with a range of accommodation. Its approximately 2.45 hours drive from Johannesburg airport"
Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge

"The lodge was perfect just what we needed for a few days and our first ever safari. The food had great choice at breakfast and dinner didn’t use it at lunchtime but their menu looked fab. The safari drives we were warned you just never know but it was amazing the drivers worked so hard to get us to see as much as possible. We saw elephant close, lions, zebra, giraffe, jackal,rhinos, hippos and the jewel in the crown a leopard. "
Bakubung Bush Lodge

"We absolutely loved our stay at Bakubung Bush Lodge. The food was amazing, the staff were incredible, and the game drives were a real highlight of the trip. Every single member of staff was so friendly, welcoming and helpful — it genuinely felt like being part of one big family rather than staying at a hotel. The rooms were lovely, comfortable and perfect after long days out on safari. The spa was also excellent and a great way to relax between drives. We actually loved Bakubung so much that we cancelled the second part of our holiday at another hotel just so we could book an extra night here and come back! That probably says more than anything else could. An unforgettable experience from start to finish — we would return in a heartbeat."

"I have travelled around the world and stayed in many 5 Star hotels but The Palace at Sun City is the best I have stayed by a long shot. The building is out of this world and the Staff will treat you like royalty...You are really in a Palace...Highly recommended!"
The Kingdom Resort

"Great place for families with young kids. Heated pool, water slides and many other activities. The chalet looked like it either just built or recently renovated. Would definitely recommend and return to The Kingdom Resort"
Sun City Hotel and Casino

"Everything was very good. the staff were attentive and catered for your every need. The hotel has a good selection of restaurants and of course there is the casino. There is also a nice pool with a bar and a food oulet. The only gripe I did have was that the hot water was seldem more than tepid. I reported this on occassions but to no avail. A short walk away is a shopping mall with more eateries and shopping."
Mogwase Bed and Breakfast

"Very disappointing experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, the person at the front desk was not aware of our reservation. We had to spend more than 15 minutes proving that we had indeed booked a room at this hotel. Once we finally accessed the room, several issues became apparent. There were no towels available, and when we asked for assistance, the staff was unable to help, forcing us to find towels ourselves. The overall cleanliness of the room was poor, with cockroaches present, which is completely unacceptable. To make matters worse, there was no soap provided in the shower. This stay was far below acceptable standards in terms of service, organization, and hygiene."
