"Room was very basic but also very clean. I good choice if you just want a cheap, clean room for a night's sleep. The building and grounds are old and desperately in need of repairs, maintenance and upgrading."

"I will say that my rating of this place is higher that what I would normally rate this kind of place because the owners were very nice and very sweet people. I was on a long drive back for a move driving up from Albuquerque, NM and after 15 hours just needed a place to crash. If that is all you are needing and wanting in a place then this place can be good for you. The only thing was with my room there was a strong odor when I initially walked in but overtime my nose adjusted."

There was a number to call to have someone come check me in, but there was no answer to multiple calls. "My husband and I just stayed overnight for our anniversary at the Gold Mine Hotel and Restaurant in Idaho City. They allowed us to bring our small dog, which was important to us. The small cabin was delightful, very clean, nicely decorated & very affordable compared to other options in the area. Our's had a king bed, TV, A/C, small refrigerator and microwave. "The room was filthy...cobwebs...carpet pulled away from the base boards. Dirty THIN throw for a bedspread. People are staying long term and I did not feel safe. No elevator...to get to the second floor you have to climb a big staircase. The air-conditioner/heater was missing the top cover. Just junky!! Never again!"

"The staff was excellent and the room was clean and convenient. I didn’t realize when booking that it was in an industrial area. The pillows were awful (like rocks), however the room was adequate for overnight. If you want a nice, safe, easy on the budget hotel, this is a good selection. Again, exceptional staff and breakfast had a good variety."
