Located just off the shore along the Bay of Biscay and 35 km (22 miles) east from Bilbao, San Juan de Gaztelugatxe is a definite “must” if you are visiting the Basque Country.
A church on an island in the ocean, with nothing else really around... one of my top two places I saw while in Spain (Bilbao), about an hour by bus, then a 10min taxi, and a 10min hike to get down there. Well worth it!!! #waterlust
