"Beds were comfortable. Apartments were in the attic of a building 4 floors from ground level. Poor lighting in apt at night Carpets were worn out, including the winding narrow stairs Toilets flushed ok, but still experienced a foul odor in apt. Once up and down stairs, along with suitcases lasting for 3 weeks, the Best thing was the VIEW out over the canal. We had a resident mouse that showed up daily. We survived and experienced Amsterdam for 4 days and didn’t get sick!"

"This place was hip, stylish, fun, never uptight, and exceeded my expectations at every turn. I loved the sleek fast elevators, the great cocktails at the bar, the beautiful room design (look at the photos -- it's even better in person -- modern shower and countertops, innovative lighting, blackout shutters operated at the touch of a touchscreen on the bedside -- WOW! -- the list goes on), very helpful, multilingual, and responsive staff, the umbrella rental in the lobby, and the best part of all -- it's a 2-minute walk from the Spaklerweg Metro station, from which you can get anywhere in Amsterdam in a snap. Spaklerweg is also one stop away from where you can catch intercity/sprinter trains to Amersfoort, Utrecht, The Hague -- anywhere you want. Great location, great room, great amenities and convenience. I tell everybody now -- don't stay in downtown Amsterdam where you have to worry about bugs, pickpockets, narrow stairways, disrepair -- stay the Ruby Emma and take the Metro in each day. It's like a 10 minute ride. SO EASY and spared us all sorts of headache and worry. This is the way to do Amsterdam! One word of warning: our room on the 18th floor had a glass shower that opened directly into the sink area, which is connected to the rest of the room. We were on our honeymoon, so we LOVED this paradise of intimacy, but others might not want that. So check and make sure there are other room designs available if that's what you need."

"This property is awful. Feels more like a condemned mental hospital or a prison. Rooms are filthy, AC does not work, place has an awful smell. We only stayed there to be close to the airport for an early flight, if i had to do it again i would have just had my family sleep in the car."

"PROS: Excellent location - close to train station and convenience stores Comfortable room Staff very professional and friendly Good breakfast Check-in and Check-out very efficient CONS: Upon entering room for first time noticed dust on television stand Shower in bathroom could use some TLC, particularly around bottom of shower doors which could have been cleaned better Carpets were not as clean as one would expect - several areas with stains"
