"The hotel room was nice, there is noise transfer a little between rooms. I could hear someone blow drying their hair in the room next to mine. The onsen that is in the hotel on first floor is rather small and a little old looking, fits maybe 4 people at one time. You do get free access to the grand hotel onsen just across the street which is large and very nice. I would suggest skipping the adex onsen and just go to the onsen across the street. It has a nice little bakery when you walk in, good coffee. All the staff were helpful when checking in/out and with the bus schedule. This is very central area to walk to hell Valley and the foot bath. Would recommend and stay again."
"A fantastic, characterful hotel in a great position. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating. Very generous breakfast and dinners. Lovely in-room onsen overlooking the mountains."
"Our stay at Lake Toya Nonokaze Resort was absolutely amazing and one of the highlights of our entire trip to Japan. My boys still talk about how much they loved this hotel and everything there was to experience around Lake Toya.
The rooms were very large and comfortable, and having a private onsen right in our room overlooking the lake was unforgettable. The views were spectacular, and watching the fireworks show over the lake every night made each evening feel special.
The breakfasts and dinners were some of our best memories from the entire stay. The variety and quality of the food were incredible, with different stations preparing fresh dishes right in front of you. From freshly made Japanese souffle pancakes and noodles to local specialties and fresh apple juice, every meal felt like an experience rather than just a hotel buffet. My boys absolutely loved it, and we looked forward to breakfast and dinner every day.
There is also so much to experience around the lake. The hotel has E-bikes available, which are a fantastic way to explore the beautiful paths, scenery, artwork, and sculptures surrounding Lake Toya. We took a boat ride across the lake to the island, rode the gondola up Mt. Usu, and hiked while enjoying incredible views of the volcano and surrounding landscape. We also loved discovering the hot springs throughout the town.
My family said it was absolutely amazing, and I completely agree. We would return without hesitation."
"Great location, and wonderful hot springs! The hotel is comfortable and the bath was large. Lots of stairs to the hot springs so not so good if you have a hard time walking. Nice breakfast buffet. The listing on hotels.com says breakfast is included but I was told that it was not when I got there. I was asked to show my confirmation email which doesn’t say either way, but the ad on the site says it’s included. Anyhow the manager was kind enough to include the breakfast. The hotel or the reservation site should change the listing if breakfast is not included as to avoid confusion, and not make it the customers responsibility. I’ve booked for many years on the site and this is the first time I’ve had this problem. Unfortunately, my interactions lead me to not be able to fully relax at the onsen which is a shame because the hotel is quite nice. Great location to tourist sites."
