We've be going to Sands Ocean Club for years. We love the fact that it's right on the beach and in a calmer part of Myrtle Beach. The kids love it for the lazy river and pools.

This is a really great place to stay! The building is a little bit older but it is well-kept. I've stayed at this resort four times now and I intend to go back. Everything you need is right there on site especially during the in season. I do enjoy going there during the fall but most of the amenities are shut down at that time save for the indoor swimming pool and hot tubs. Ocean Annies is not to be missed! Excellent time!Excellent service! We always have a blast! You definitely get a lot of bang for your buck!

Overall this stay was great. Most of the staff were friendly and ready to assist. There was only one instance where I thought the staff could be more friendly, they advertise free lunch with your stay and the men running the line were standoffish and very abrupt when speaking to us. Also, the lunch provided left little to be desired (hamburger patties that were dry despite being in a pan full of grease/water on a bun and hot dogs in water) which I understand being that they are trying to accommodate a lot of people, it would have just been nice to have more options for topping and better quality patties.

The amenities like the bar and cafe were great! They had live music outside and keroke in the bar every night! Bartenders and waitresses great!!! The lacking part was the hotel room was old not kept up with the times rusted and tub and sinks don’t drain good. If the rooms are independently owned they need to make homeowners keep the rooms up.
