The history of this hotel makes it easier to decide. An iconic, old MB hotel, the location is superb. Oceanfront, right in heart of the boardwalk area. We didn’t move our car for 3 days. Walk to lots of fun stuff. However, this hotel needs serious overhaul. A former timeshare hotel where owners stopped making payments and the property went into bankruptcy, the new owner just closed on purchase of the property in Feb. The staff does the best with what they have to work with. But you should know, this place is different. There is no lobby. Common spaces are spare. Office is open limited hours. You must load/unload and park your own car. Upholstery furnishings and carpeting need super cleaning. I would not book if you have babies or toddlers. Suggest you take extra supplies like TP, dishwasher soap. Pick up a bag of ice. Etc. You need to be self-sufficient and not picky. Otherwise, have fun!

The room looked good..but smelled like BO. Had to sleep with a shirt on my face to make it through the night. The people were very friendly and helpful otherwise. The outside was very clean and looked well kept. The location is great for walking nearby boardwalk and the beach.

PRO: Prime Location (Beachfront (steps away) Entertainment (walkable) Attractions and Dining (steps away in each direction). Right in front of Pier 14 CON: The property is dated and could use a serious renovation!! Overall 6/10 - I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting for a short stay (overnight). The staff was very helpful and friendly

The view of the beach was great. The kitchen appliances were rusty a the paint on the ceilings was pealing a cracked in the bathroom. The over all unit was clean it just needs to be updated.

We stayed for a weekend. It was not perfect, but clean enough. Close to the boardwalk and right on the beach. Has a small older condo feel to it. We didn’t go into the new building that sits between the two older ones. I would return. I like having the kitchenette, separate bedroom, great view of the ocean and steps from the boardwalk.
