Where do I start? I booked the day before, around 19:30, then off I went to enjoy the rest of the night. To be fair, it does state to contact the establishment 24 hours before, to arrange check-in, so there's that! I arrived the next day, around 10:55, buzzed the door, with no reply. I then called the provided number (no answer) and then left a message via Expedia. I tent into Naples, as it does state a 15:00 check-in. (To note, I did not receive an email with check-in instructions, just the standard Expedia confirmation).
I returned around 14:00 and called them again. Then again at 14:18 and 14:54/14:55. The call at 14:54 was engaged, so the phone seemed to be on! I also left another few messages via Expedia and sent one text. I agree that there are rules, but I've been to many, MANY hotels and this is the first time this has happened. Zero communication from the hotel. In the end, I had to spend the night at the Airport.
Not the best outcome. The hotel refused a refund. Zero contact, no hotel and no refund. I get that people can cancel but, in this case, I did arrive and I DID contact via whatever method I had.
