Mai sunset is the perfect resort for people wanting a quiet stay, where you feel like family. The daily snorkelling trips (which are included) are not to be missed! The coral around the island is especially colourful and can see incredible fish at different times. It's definitely the most alive coral reefs we've ever seen in Fiji. We also went on a manta ray trip, and although we weren't lucky enough to see rays - we had an amazing experience. The ladder on the boat might need to be replaced soon though! The rooms are a perfect size, the outdoor shower is divine and the rooms have a small fridge too. Every staff member we met made us feel like part of the family and we spent so much time chatting with staff and other guests. We were one of 5 or 7 people on the resort during our stay and it never felt too busy. We can't wait to return! Thank you Liddi, Paul, Elinoa, Male, Saku, Jay, Ami, Api, Venni, Rusi, John and all the wonderful staff that make Mai sunset the best destination in the Yasawa islands.

Loved our stay here!! This place is special. The staff are warm and helpful. Every morning we would be asked what we felt like doing at breakfast. They cater the activities to what people want to do that day, versus most other resorts in the area where the daily schedule is set. We love snorkelling and the snorkelling on both sides of the small island down the beach was excellent, we saw eagle rays, nudibranch, lobsters, and tons of fish. We also did the manta snorkel from here which was the highlight of our trip. Hope to stay again one day. Vinaka!!

Unser Aufenthalt im Mai im Sunset Resort war ein absolut traumhaftes Erlebnis. Das Resort ist wunderschön gelegen und bietet viel Privatsphäre sowie eine liebevoll gestaltete Umgebung. Besonders beeindruckt hat uns das super freundliche Personal und die familiäre Atmosphäre – egal ob beim Entspannen oder bei Aktivitäten im Wasser und der Umgebung, alles ist möglich. Es gibt keinen Massentourismus wie in anderen Resorts, stattdessen spürt man überall persönliche Details und Herzlichkeit. Sehr kinderfreundlich, sodass auch Familien sich bestens aufgehoben fühlen. Ein besonderer Dank geht an Litti, Vennie und Anne – ihr habt unseren Aufenthalt unvergesslich gemacht. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

We had a lovely 5 day stay at Mai Sunset. The food was delicious, the views are phenomenal, the bed was comfortable and the people make this experience truly unique. What more could you ask for? We hope to be back with the whole family someday soon!

One of the best places I've ever stayed. The location is perfect, forget any doubts about going to the Yasawas vs mainland. Staff are very friendly. Setup of the bures is amazing, would love to have some blinds or more privacy in the bedroom, this sounds worse than it is, minor thing. More flippers/ snorkelling gear would be great.

Idyllic island escape in a beautiful, secluded part of the Yasawa Islands. Made for those wanting to relax, recharge and switch off from the wider world. The staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful in a wholly authentic way. The bures were extremely comfortable though were missing some inner curtain/blinds for added privacy (it felt that people could see inside quite easily - one small improvement we'd recommend!). Note there's no WiFi connection in the bures if this bothers you - you just have to go to the restaurant area for your connectivity. Highly recommend this place for anyone visiting the Fiji islands looking to relax and recharge.

The only place to stay in the Yasawas

Our stay at Mai Sunset Resort was one of a lifetime. The most magical, moving, unforgettable, wonderful experience filled with the most caring and genuine people. The resort is a gem, with every comfort catered for in beautiful, clean and comfortable rooms a stones throw away from a pristine beach, great food, amazing snorkelling and sunsets. With all these comforts, the place still retains an authentic atmosphere that is genuine and welcoming and driven by beautiful staff from the nearby village. It is truly a home away from home. From fishing, snorkelling with turtles and manta rays, traditional dinners cooked in the fire oven, visits to church in the nearby village, or eating fresh picked papaya and coconuts - this is the true fijian experience and the only place I will come back to in the Yasawas. We even left the next resort we stayed at to come back to Mai Sunset, because it was the only place to be. To everyone at Mai Sunset - Sota Tale! Thank you for everything, will be back many times to meet again :))<3

Ganz neues resort. Alle waren super freundlich und haben sich wirklich gekümmert. Es gab noch nicht so viele Gäste, was sehr angenehm war. Ich hatte einen Bungalow direkt am Strand mit Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang. Wunderschön. Das Essen war auch sehr gut, es gab viel Auswahl und alles extra auf Nachfrage. Insgesamt ein toller Aufenthalt, sehr gutes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis.
