"We ended up not staying and asking for a refund. We were told we would be issued a refund by the strangely rude desk clerk but now 4 days later the charge is still on my card. The room was gross. The furniture was chewed up, the sofa had stains all over it and there was garbage on the floor. I could get past a piece of garbage but not in a room I couldn’t trust that the bedding wasn’t 50 years old and that it had been washed in this decade. If I had the option to add photos here you’d see how gross it was. We stayed down the street at the Wecoma Inn. The Wecoma gets 5 stars. It was clean and staff was wonderful!"

"The room was spacious for a family of 3. We got a king bed, and there was plenty of room for a playpen. The room was clean, the service was good, and the breakfast was good. No real complaints, other than that there was no info about paying an additional fee listed online on their website or on Expedia, and I found out about this fee when I arrived to the hotel, it is only paid in person. Maybe I missed something, but be ready to pay an additional $7 a night fee, mine was 4 nights so I paid an additional $28. Not pleasant, but at that point, you're kinda stuck, so definitely a little scammy on that part"

"This was my third visit to Sand Castle. It is just what I want in a place to stay. No pets (allergies) clean and easy beach access."

"Wonderful as always. Unbelievable that I got an ocean front room with a fireplace for $100 plus tax. It seems like they’ve updated things since the last time I stayed and the room looked great. I’m always amazed at the prices when this place is as nice as other hotels charging two to three times as much for similar rooms. A very happy returning customer who will continue to return when visiting the area."
