Top New Forest District Hotel Reviews

Angel and Blue Pig
10/10 Excellent
"Great food and service!"

Forest Park Country Hotel & Inn, Brockenhurst, New Forest
4/10 Poor
"The hotel facilities, the dining, the staff were all absolutely fine.
The room, however, was on 2 levels with even a step down on entry. Awkward.
It was situated at the front of the building over some sort of service room with a generator or boiler that emitted a constant drone all through the night. Occasionally it would cut out only to re-start a short while later. As a result we had very little sleep.
The noise could be heard outside the building as well; and of course it carries more at night."

Woodlands Lodge Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Very pleasant stay. V good hotel and excellent value.
Only disappointment was there was an incredibly noisy family (shouting and screaming) next to my room and the sound went straight through the walls/ceiling until about midnight and then kicked off again at 3am - but obviously not the hotel's fault."

Rhinefield House Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"My partner and I had a wonderful three-night stay at Rhinefield House for his birthday. The staff were all excellent - a special mention to Deborah at breakfast and afternoon tea, whose warmth and personality really stood out - but everyone we encountered was lovely.
They also made a thoughtful effort to acknowledge my partner’s birthday, which we hadn’t expected and really appreciated.
We were lucky with the weather, which meant we could properly enjoy the beautiful grounds, especially sitting by the pond - a real highlight of the stay.
A couple of minor points of feedback. On the first morning we were woken at around 5.30am by a fairly loud, continuous noise, like a motor running. This did continue intermittently throughout the stay, including late at night and early mornings, although not quite as loud after the first instance. It wasn’t disruptive enough for us to request a room move, but worth noting.
Secondly, the outdoor pool is open from 9am to 4pm. As we were out during the day, it would have been nice if it stayed open later. We did have a look while passing and it looked like it could do with a bit of attention - there were leaves in the water and it didn’t feel particularly inviting. Appreciate it’s early in the season, but a bit of upkeep here would go a long way.
I mention these as constructive feedback rather than criticism, as overall we had a really lovely first stay. Thank you to the team - we would definitely return."

Balmer Lawn Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"We truly had an amazing stay at Balmers Lawn! We got a really good deal for Easter weekend, and it exceeded expectations on every level. The room was only classified as "standard" yet it was huge, lovely big bathroom, and they had put Easter Craft in the room for the kids. Kids can use the swimming pool in the morning and evening, and we had it to ourselves each morning we went! Food was excellent and the staff just so friendly and helpful, everyone was a pleasure to interact with. We are all desperate to go back!"

The Crown Manor House Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"The hotel is well located within Lyndhurst and for the New Forest. Staff are polite and friendly, there is large car park for the hotel. Good Breakfast, from continental to full English. Our room was clean and well maintained, with a comfortable bed. "

The Beach House
10/10 Excellent
"Great Break"

Elmers Court Hotel
8/10 Good
"the resort is undergoing major renovations and we were warned about this beforehand. All the leisure facilities were close but the grounds are lovely. We hope they keep the family cottages once the renovations are complete."

Beaulieu Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"I was incredibly impressed with this hotel. The value for money was excellent. I booked a family room for five of us (3 kids) - which in itself is unusual to be able to fit 5 in one room! - when we were visiting Paulton Park. I didn’t do much research and we were all very pleasantly surprised with how good it was.. the family friendly welcome, facilities, and amenities were great. So lovely to give the kids a goody bag on arrival. Easter egg hunt such a great touch, the bouncy castle was a huge plus which the kids loved and the swimming pool was lovely and warm. We had dinner and breakfast at The Drift Inn and it was excellent. The staff were all lovely. Highly recommend. "
