"Room was decent however the bathroom and tub and floor tile especially were dated and OLD. Thank goodness it was just one night - could not step into that bathtub. Fri night- highway traffic was noisy so rooms definitely could use sound proofing. Do not recommend staying. Lobby and breakfast areas were nice. "

"I reserved a room for two with a king size bed non smoking room. We were first put in a room with 1 pillow and a full size bed. Fridge on the floor TV didn't work that was a smoking room . I went back to the desk was told all they had left was a queen size bed. We got moved there and it was worst then the first. Room dirty, no end tables by the bed no outlets to charge our phones, fridge on the floor, tiles missing in the bathroom, toilet seat wasn't even the correct fit. Toilet ran all night long. The entire place was down right dirty and run down. Parking was limited. The "glass building" we were first sent to felt unsafe and there was no deadbolt on the door for us to even lock. Staff was not helpful at all during the check in and acted like I was the problem when I returned wanting the room I originally reserved."

"The location is perfect for exploring New Haven. It is close to galleries, great food and Yale University. Although we didn’t use it, it was nice to have complete kitchen available. Great Hotel!"

"Everything was excellent—we had a great stay and would absolutely return. The only minor issue was that the mattresses felt a bit worn and slightly saggy and could use an update. There’s no on-site parking, but the parking garage is less than a 3-minute walk from the hotel, which was still very convenient."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Marcel. A nice little weekend getaway as a mini-moon for my husband and I who just got married! Highly recommend staying there! Friendly service, awesome bartender, and very wonderful drivers that will take you into Yales cute little town! & the waterfront was right next to us. Beautiful views. We will definitely be back!"

"First night I was there my door lock ,locked me in the room for 45 mins the phone number was busy the whole time so I couldn't get through. I had a friend come here to go to the desk and get help. Could luck asking for anything with the woman at the desk she is rotten. I go to another room and the mini fridge didn't work then"
