"I love staying at this historic hotel. Ive stayed there twice. It is located near the center of Middlebury so it is near to stores and restaurants. I was visiting family so I didn’t try the onsite restaurant and spa and I didn’t use the a/c since the weather was mild. The beds were very comfortable. I will stay there again. It is a good value."

"This was an amazing property. You never know what you are going to walk into. Each room had a name on it. There were sweet little accents everywhere from free homemade cookies when we came in, to faux flowers tied to the curtains. The game room was really nice. My teenage boys loved it, and so did we. We played shuffleboard and a bumper pool table that we flipped and played cards, there was a pool table. Dana was so great. "The room was dirty, from Old pee that had dried around the toilet with a bunch of hairs to grey soap scum in the bathtub & cobwebs on the ceiling. We also found random bits of things on the floor, a wrapper, a bandaid between the bed and the nightstand. It’s an older hotel but that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be properly cleaned. Carpet in the elevator was a disaster, so disgusting, all stained with the dried stuff on it. The staff was helpful at the front desk and at breakfast in the...

"I arrived at 4pm for checking, I was told they can't find my reservation... after 20 min i was told they did find it but that someone else checked in at 1pm(what he hell??)... then after 20 min i was told they knock in my room and nobody answer (no idea why??, i had my reservation and ID in hand) after 45 min. i contacted expedia and they were able to fix the problem, i was given my room 1 hour late however, missing towels AC not working... i wont recommend anybody to stay here"

Beautiful adaptive reuse of an historic armory building for the bar, restaurant, entry and lobby areas with rooms in an attached, newer building. Great visit, will stay here again!"
