"Overall, the hotel was clean with good parking near it. However, sometimes the hot water for taking showers did not work well. Also, the TV inside the hotel is relatively small which I believe it needs to be upgraded. But, if you are planning to visit Italy and not pay much, this is a good choice. It's near Florence (~30 min drive in evenings and ~1hr during the rush hour) with plenty of free parking spots near it. It's placed in a not extremely crowded city (Empoli) which is nice. "The property was in a nice location cute town with a nice view, however nothing in the hotel room worked. No lights in the bathroom, no light in the room with the bed. No outlets worked. One of the outlet was hanging out of the wall as if it was in the process of being worked on. I only stayed one night, left super early in the morning to, so I didn’t complain to the staff but for anyone staying longer take this into consideration."

"The property has a very Tuscan country feel and the staff was very welcoming. It was quiet and safe and the room was clean and large, bed was comfortable. I would definitely recommend a stay here, the location is a very convenient hub for branching out to see various cities in the Tuscan region."

"I felt very safe there. Loved that I needed a code to get into the building. Then I needed another code to go down the hallway to get to my room. The staff ordered 2 taxis for me. Their attentiveness was superior! Whenever I messaged them, they always answered quickly. The location was great. Very close to the metro and it was a relatively short walk to the attractions. Never stayed in a guesthouse before, but it was perfect. We stayed 7 days. "

"We had an amazing stay at Villa Marta.Rooms were beautifully decorated,clean and spacious.Toiletries,etc were provided.The area is so quiet and we had a lovely sleep undisturbed by any noise .Breakfast was delicious,abundant and with many choices.Staff was brilliant-both ladies at reception and gentlemen at restaurant.My children loved checking the two resident cats Bianca and Nero a couple of times a day ☺️😂.Definitely will be back one day as everything was perfect!"

"We were greeted with a warm and attentive welcome by Rosio which was a great way to begin our stay in Lucca. Our immaculate room and bathroom were big and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is absolutely amazing and delicious with many choices to chose from. It was an easy walk to the historic center.
