"It is a classic hotel but the annex building is fully renovated and beautiful. The room was comfortable with nice amenities. It was so calm and peaceful. I loved the tea set they provided and enjoyed the room overlooking the garden outside. Had very comfortable beds. Staff was nice and welcoming. Breakfast was nice too. The only downside was lack of dinner options in the area. We did a room service one night and had their famous curry… which was alright but expensive. We also had a meal at Meiji...

"I had a really excellent and unforgettable stay in KAI. First you will have an interesting entry by taking a cable car from the entrance to the lobby, and then you will get a superb environment, the decoration looks fantastic, all the staffs are nice and helpful, the food tasted brilliant, everything is extraordinary good and almost perfect in this hotel."

"De passage à Nikko, nous avons passé une seule nuit dans ce charmant ryokan. L’accueil a été chaleureux. Nous avons profité d’une chambre traditionelle avec futon. Propre, spacieuse avec une bonne literie. Les plus de ce logement : le repas du soir et le petit déjeuner compris, très bons et très copieux. On a également pu profiter du onsen du ryokan, un avantage appréciable après une journée de visite. Je recommande vivement."
