"Shared laundry was the plus point"

"The location, location, location! Hotel is situated across the bay from Akureyri, 5km easy drive over the bridge. From the room or walk out to the patio, there is a magnificent view at the fiord, Akureyri with the mountains behind, view at river valley... Hotel is very nicely designed. Free parking. Room was super clean, breakfast included for the good begining of the day. Service excellent. Would stay again, highly recommend."

"This is an incredible place to stay. It was problem the best lodge we've ever been to. It has stunning views across the fjord which can be enjoyed from the hot tub. It's really well equipped and was always a great place to come back to at the end of the day. Thank you!"

"4 Sterne Hotel, aber die Zimmer wurden nicht täglich morgens gereinigt. Haare waren noch von den Vorbewohnern in der Dusche, Beschwerden wurden weg gelächelt. Die Fenster waren so dreckig, dass man nicht hinaus sehen konnte. Elektrokabel hingen aus der Wand, der Fernseher hatte keine Fernbedienung, die Zimmer sind so klein, dass man von vorne ins Bett springen muss, der Frühstücksraum erinnert an einen Mastbetrieb, keine Atmosphäre etc."

"Very spacious and clean with a lot of amenities. It had tons of character, but the floors squeak a bit and some doors cannot close without locking. Nothing unexpected for a historical property. Very nice stay!"

"Place is ok but a few annoying things. Finding the place was not so easy. Also unexpectedly had stairs leading up to the apartment. The bed was not comfortable and pretty noisy. Blinds really don’t block out enough light. And there was no shampoo or shower wash. Pretty basic miss. "

"The property is located in the downtown area. Close walk to all the external restaurants and shopping. The beds were way too soft. It felt like you were sleeping on a bag of marshmallows. The pillows were so thin you had to fold it in half to make it work. And if you wanted another one it was 500 Islandic Kronos extra per pillow. The scrambled eggs and beans at breakfast buffet were cold."

"We had a terrible stay, our worst ever in a hotel. Across the street from our room, there was a nightclub where a music event was happening. There was a burger van with a generator just outside the building, as well as people shouting, screaming and vomiting in the street. There were also suped up cars revving and drag racing in the street. The sound proofing was non existent. The noise went on until 4am and obviously left us unable to sleep. We understand that noise in the local vicinity is out...

"Outside of Cabin appeared a little rough but that was just normal age. Interior was great. Perfect for up to 6 people. Great amenities and just minutes from downtown."

"Nice location within 5-10 minutes walking to Akureyri downtown. Ample street parking. The building exterior needs painting. The unit is updated with flooring, bathroom, and kitchens. However, it is a basement unit and the entrance to the unit is undesirable. You have to through a short side door and walking down into the basement."

"We stayed at the property for 2 nights while doing our ring road tour. It was nice to be able to do laundry after 5 days of one night stays. There is no dryer, but with two days we had no problem getting 4 loads washed and dried while there. Nice to have a kitchen and living room to hang out in after just hotels and guest houses. Bring earplugs, the night life and traffic can be loud at night with windows open, even during the week. Great central location, took a day trip up to Húsavík for...
