"First thing we saw on entering the room were several quite big green (ink?) stains on the carpet. A lovely big bed but only 2 small pillows, so had to ask for more. The room was very hot and although we found a fan it didn’t get below 26 degrees the 3 nights we were there, outside not over 22 degrees in the day! We went to the Restaurant our first night and waited 30 mins for a drink. The food was not good and loud party of golfers drove us to the bar. Not much better so took wine to our room. Ate in the room next 2 nights. I booked this hotel because I wanted a pool etc. the jacuzzi was broken and the steam room was also out of action, and with swimming lessons for about 20 kids relaxing it wasn’t!!! On our last night a member of staff, Matilda, hunted and found us another fan. She was the only one to really help. There are often functions (one every night we were there) which are very loud and go on until 1 a.m.!!
So all in all not impressed and definitely not 4* for us."
