The staff were generous and kind, we were able to book the private onsen for a very reasonable price to accommodate our tattoos and our family going together. The half board was delicious. This is not a luxury stay so much as a real Japanese cultural experience and we had a great time as a family of four USA folk with teens."

Top Norikura Plateau Hotel Reviews

HOTEL AMANEK HidaTakayama

HOTEL AMANEK HidaTakayama

10/10 Excellent
"We booked a superior double room queen bed, non smoking room, this hotel is new and modern it has a lovely spacious dining room for breakfast. There is a thermal bath and sauna for tourists who want to wear their swimmers on the top floor which has great views there is also a men and women only thermal bath if you want to go naked. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk away from the train & bus station. There are plenty of restaurants within walk distance. This hotel and Takayama town was one of best places we stayed on our 6 week trip to Japan. We would definitely stay here again."
