"We enjoyed 4 nights in Asheville at the Restoration Hotel, located right downtown. The property is beautiful and well-maintained. Our room with a balcony was lovely for enjoying morning coffee and a treat from the continental breakfast picnic basket we found outside our room each day. The Staff at the valet, front desk, housekeeping, and in the rooftop bar and lobby restaurant were all excellent. The free jeep rides within a 2 mile radius were handy for running to a store or to do takeout. Our only recommendation for improvement is that on our last night there the rooftop bar and the kitchen (and so restaurants) were both closed due to a staffing crisis. This was the night we planned to eat in while we packed for an early flight out the next morning. There was no alternative given by the hotel for the inconvenience. I wouldn’t expect this from a 5 star luxury hotel. We hope it was a one-off situation because it could hurt their reputation. Overall we enjoyed the hotel and would still recommend it."
