"Very pleasant stay"

"Room looks and smells clean. Great view of the ocean and can be on the beach in minuets. Parking can be less than pleasant because spaces are not assigned so if all spaces on the hotel side are occupied you need to park across the street. Very quiet chill retirement community vibe."

"First time we stayed here and loved it. It is a gem hidden only 1 mile from the Marsh Walk. It was clean, quiet, and we loved the pool. It was so nice to stay out of the hustle and bustle of Myrtle Beach, yet we were only minutes from all of the MB activities, restaurants, and beaches. We look forward to staying here again."

"To get rid of the poison oak and poison ivy around the place"

"The room was very clean and had a wonderful view of the ocean. The outside door was broken and had to push/pull to get it locked everytime we went out. Told the woman at the lobby about it and she knew it was broken so hopefully the visitors will not have that problem. We had a terrible storm and the next day, the ceiling was leaking a bit but it had prior patching also. Other than that, it was good overall. There is a convenient store there also which makes it nice too"

"Beautiful hotel in a nice area. Rooms were clean and comfortable especially the bed. Staff was welcoming and attentive. Outside bar was nice on the river. Restaurant was good but pricey. Will certainly come back and highly recommend the George."

"The room’s bathroom was very very dirty. There were tiny hairs in a bunch of places. The bathroom door was black. Drain and faucet on sink were gross. Breakfast was lackluster and there is a $10 fee for bringing a plate back to the room. The parking lot looked trashy."

"The room had been updated although one tended to roll to the edges of the mattress. The breakfast was pitiful - nothing warm, just starch items. The pool could have been inviting but had huge plumes of water throughout the entire pool. No place to swim and not get your hair wet."
