"Very good place"

"I surprised that this hotel had a 8.2 rating. The lobby was nice, small but clean. There are stairs, no ramp, to the elevators. Which makes it difficult for getting your suitcases and extras to your room. They have kiosks for checking in and they don't work and only one person working the desk. This created a lot of confusion and a full lobby, which is very small, of people needing help checking in. The room was very small, no closet, no microwave, but did have a mini-fridge. The bathroom did not have a counter and no place to put your things. The toilet is industrial, like in a gas station bathroom and the toilet paper was above your head on the wall. There was only one trash bin in the room with no garbage bag. There is a pretty good restaurant attached to the hotel which was convenient. There is also a little mini market to purchase drinks, very expensive though."

"The room was very clean, staff very friendly, but it’s just not what I’m used to. If you want a higher end hotel, this is not it. It’s not a fleabag, don’t get me wrong. The room smelled like an old hotel. Don’t know how to describe it any better than that. The room was tiny. The parking lot was on a different block, there was no security, and the spaces were very narrow. I worried about my car getting dinged up. "

"Other than location, the Paramount hotel was pretty average. The one big thing that makes or breaks our stay is the staff and how they treat you. My wife and I felt whenever we approached the staff, it was almost as if we were interrupting them and they had short sharp responses, not overly helpful and never greeted or acknowledged us when we came in to the hotel or were leaving. However, location was great, the room was nice and that’s where it ended for us."

"The staff was very helpful with scheduling an early shuttle to the airport. The property was a little run down as to be expected being so close to the airport. The rooms/bathrooms were not very clean, dust on the carpet under furniture, hair that was not mine on the bathroom wall, the toilet moved when you sat down. I was expecting a little more overall with it having such good reviews, I was definitely disappointed, but it served it's purpose."

"I was really impressed with the cleanliness of the room and bathroom, the air temperature control, the fridge and microwave and hotwater/coffee maker in the room, good wifi, the quality of the complementary breakfast. Re the breakfast - loved that they had whole fruit : apples, bananas, oranges, unsweetened oatmeal, and hardboiled eggs. Would have liked to see plain yogurt (they offer two flavors of heavily sweetened) - and would have preferred it if the hb eggs were in their shells...would have felt a little less germ prone. That said, still better than average complementary breakfast options."

"No complimentary breakfast, food that was available was extremely expensive! Cheeseburger was overly done and burnt, asked for medium cooked. Service was slow"

"Older hotel but great staff. Excellent shuttle service. Close to eating places. Only complaint was outside entrance doors were not locked allowing easy excess to non guests. "
