"Wonderful stay, gave us early check in, card and chocolates for our 51st Anniversary!
Went back to hotel to have a drink in bar at 9.30. Not much of a space to sit and socialise. Breakfast good but expect Pancakes or Eggs Benedict as in sister hotel Wild Pheasant. "
"We arrived on the Friday evening and had a quick check in with very helpful and friendly staff. Dinner in the hotel was good but quite expensive. There are local pub restaurants a short drive up the road or a walk into village . The views are amazing as we had an executive room with patio facing the estuary. The views of the castle and town to the left and to the right the village were very pleasing to the eye and I spent a great deal of time just watching the world go by on the patio. The room was clean and well stocked . The downside of this spa hotel is the fact that guests can only use the pool and sauna/ steam room ect either early in morning or from 5pm onwards. Absolutely atrocious as the cost of hotel isn’t cheap. If weather is bad you are unable to use the facilities as they favour non guests over guests. The treatments are quite expensive but good. I would stay again but very disappointed of limited time allowed in pool. As you can imagine come 5pm it can get busy as weekend ."
