"Great place to stay for the basics - I needed a place to stay that was very reasonable in price and this place hit all the boxes. Clean, comfortable, not posh, not the best decor and not entirely the best maintained - room door squeaky and hard to close and definitely some improvements needed for the bathroom shower door. Also I the bed mattress probably needed to be replaced. All that said, it was exactly what I needed. Staff were lovely, friendly, easy going and helpful. The room had good towels, decent hot water, TV, free wifi, hair dryer, kettle and basic tea, coffee and milk. The best was the breakfast - worth paying the bit extra for it - if you're okay with simple breakfast provided with plenty of options then this is the one. Good English breakfast, toast, jam, honey, croissants, to fruit, yoghurt, cereal with dried fruit and more. I'm glad I paid the extra. The weather was fab, sunny, not too hot until the day I was going home and the people in general - locals were lovely with me, felt very safe and at home. I would happily return, it's not necessarily about the 'stuff' it's more about how I felt when I arrived and left - I wish I could've booked another day.
