"Very comfortable, quite and clean"

"Wonderful location on the waterfront and close to the main street of Burnie. The staff are so helpful and welcoming. Dining facilities are outstanding and we can vouch for breakfast and evening meals which offer variety and are very good quality. Our room had a comfortable bed, great water pressure in the shower, good climate control, but the best feature was being able to hear the ocean waves crashing on the beach."

"Nice cosy little cabin accommodation with ensuite bathroom. Quiet room, reasonable sleep. Electric blankets were required to be used, but unfortunately one of the side (mine!) of the double electric blanket wasn't functioning. Normally we would have reported that to the proprietors but we were aware that the Hotel had closed for the night a few hours earlier and staff gone, so we put up with it. Overall a comfortable stay for 1 night."

"I have stayed at this accommodation twice now in both the family style joining rooms and the executive suite. Both times have well and truly met our requirements. I wish the staff were a little more open to conversation rather than short abrupt answers to questions which can come off as rude. I do believe the staff genuinely want to help no matter how short their responses are. I will definitely stay again."

"This was my second visit to Strahan. It’s easy to forget how these towns in the west of the state shut down in winter. The hotel has two restaurants and the pub. Both restaurants were closed and there was no suggestion of room service. The only appliance in the room was an electric jug, which meant that, if you want breakfast you have to eat at the bistro. Prices in the bistro are very high, so any meal for two there would cost at least $100.00. On our first day we decided to have brunch in the...

"A delightful hotel in a picturesque part of Tasmania. We stayed two nights and enjoyed walking around the beautiful grounds, playing pool and sitting in front of the fireplace. The hotel has a wonderful ambience and the service provided by Hugo was excellent. We would definitely stay again."
