"So glad we stayed here. Property is beautiful and the restaurant had delicious food. I got the Mac n cheese with green chilies and I loved every bite. My husband got a burrito platter and he really liked it. Make sure to open the secret door at the top of the stairs on the 2nd floor. You have to pull a book forward on the bookshelf. Really cool. So much history here and the employees were beyond helpful. I would recommend gassing up before you get into town, though. We stopped at a station right next door in the morning and I've never felt more uneasy in my life. The cashier was even nervous about one man in the store. While the hotel feels very safe, the surrounding area does not. Gallup is not the most wholesome town. "
