"Conveniently located, renovated old british era cottage. Loft room was ok but noisy, bery little sound proofing between lower level and upper. Plumbing was not the best as could hear a very noisy pump running throughout, pipe hammer was loud. No choice of food was available for dinner, did not try breakfast. Short stroll into town, across muddy track and diesel spills at the corner gas station. ymmv depending on what? Islamisized facility."

Known as 'Little England,' this hill station offers colonial-era charm with its Tudor-style buildings and Victoria Park's manicured gardens. Tea lovers shouldn't miss touring the Pedro Tea Estate where you can sample fresh brews after watching the harvesting process.
We had a lovely night at Tathya Hills - the staff were very helpful regarding our travel plans and also gave very good food recommendations. The room was lovely with a huge comfortable bed and a clean spacious bathroom.
Location wise everywhere we wanted to go was within a short Tuk Tuk ride or walk.

The property was very beautiful and peaceful. The room service was good too. They helped us with the late checkin and luggage till the top floor where the room was. The lady at the reception was very welcoming. Overall a very good experience.

We had a lovely one night stay at Ferncliff, it was just lovely and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend as a very well run ‘b&b’ type hotel but much more luxurious. Bernard in particular was fantastic, especially his cooking — we had both dinner and breakfast there. Very glad we chose this over the ‘grand hotel’ in the end.

Just what we wanted to escape the busy world; quiet, self-contained and very comfortable. The staff were excellent and the accommodation was spacious with a fantastic bed; one of the best nights sleep we’ve had. The bath was a wonderful bonus. Breakfast, delivered to the room on time was delicious. If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of a hotel chain, then this is the place to stay.

We stayed just for a night as a stopover drive from arugam bay to Ahungalla. We had the family room which has two bedrooms, one with 2× double bed and the other 1x double bed. Had a fridge/freezer and a living room. No air conditioning but wasn't needed as the weather was already cold in nuwara Eliya.
Breakfast included offered western (sausages, toasted bread and eggs)or srilankan food (dosa, sambal, eggs). Offered fruita and juice.
Great location very high up on the mountain with a nice view...

Lovely old bungalow. The butler service we had was exceptional. It’s cold at night so fires in rooms & hot water bottles in bed at night. Food really good. They don’t have a drink license so happy to serve your own. I just recommend you keep your gin in your room rather in their fridge.

Fabulous old world luxury. We had a lovely afternoon tea on the terrace. Soaked in the spa pool. Wandered the immaculate gardens. Had a world tour for breakfast. A lovely relaxed stay surrounded be helpful happy staff.

Our host, Sanjaya, provided a warm welcome. Literally as he brought a portable heater into our room as the weather took a chilly turn.
Great staff who could not have been more helpful with suggestions and with an umbrella!
Breakfast was good too.

we had a lovely time in Galway Heights. We really liked the location in a small rural road close to a hindu temple and small village and in the tea plantations. Breakfast was very nice, and the staff very attentive. The only grievance was the lack of elevator. We would definitely recommend this.

This hotel truly stands out as one of the most remarkable accommodations we experienced during our travels in Sri Lanka. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with a refreshing welcome drink—a much-needed treat after enduring an eight-hour car journey to reach the hotel. This thoughtful gesture was deeply appreciated and set a positive tone for our stay. The reception staff, in particular, left a lasting impression with their exceptional service and friendly demeanour as they guided us to our suite...

We have been in Sri Lanka for over a week now and this hotel has been the best one we’ve stayed at. It is a bit of a walk from the city but can always get a very cheap tuk tuk. Extremely clean and very good breakfast. 10/10

A lovely hotel that i would gladly stay in again. The hotel is modern and exceptionally clean. The location of the hotel has a stunning view over Gregory Lake! What makes this hotel is how friendly the staff are. They greeted us with a warm welcome every day and even gave us a free beer.
The only suggestions to make this a top hotel would be more staff, as there seemed to be 2 of them doing everything. I would also suggest a buffet style breakfast and closing the door to make it safer,...

Chiran our butler was so attentive to our every need, he made our stay at Oatlands so special. The property itself needs an upgrade, it is showing signs of wear and tear. Nearby St Andrews hotel is lovely to have a drink and dinner.
