"Room immaculate as was bathroom"

"Location was the only redeeming factor, and that's not enough to return. The "loft" branding sets expectations this property simply doesn't meet. Basics were missing: no kettle, no in-room coffee, no disposable slippers. The AC was out 3 of 4 nights. Opening the window (the default arrangement I found upon checking in) meant houseflies as a roommate all night. The eco-friendly framing/won't clean your room unless you ask felt like a cover for a maintenance gap. Breakfast at €19 is a bad joke: cold cuts, cereal, one croissant, and frozen cookie-cutter pancakes. I stopped after day one. Restaurant Bacio is painfully limited. One staff member who got my order wrong, then questioned whether I liked bolognese with a smile. When I asked for takeaway, as the online menu advertised, he had no boxes. I ended up carrying a full pizza tray through the elevator in front of other guests. Genuinely embarrassing. The lobby offers complimentary tea and coffee, but only from 11:30pm-11:30am, which means walking downstairs in pajamas past a room full of dressed guests. I used hot tap water with coffee bags I'd brought myself. Soundproofing isn't ideal either contrary to what's advertised. You sometimes hear people's footsteps upstairs and noticeably hear people going past the hallways/into their rooms at night or chatting (thankfully, most who did appear to be walking to their rooms weren't chatting overly loudly but I could still "tell"). That sums up this stay. Not returning."

"Once was, a grand hotel. Restaurants they list on website close early and though they claim having 4 restaurants I never saw more than one open. Furniture in room was worn. AC in room didn't work. Very few outlets in room. Cousins to be smoke free property, everytime I walked up to main entrance had to walk through smokers."

"We stayed in a grand twin room - the room was very spacious and the bedding and everthing was well cleaned. There was lots of room to put down a suitcase, hang up clothes etc. The beds and pillows were very comfortable after a lot of walking around the city. The location is excellent, centrally located for walking to the major tourist attractions both northwards and southwards. Yet it was also quiet and peaceful, we didn't hear a peep from anyone else in the hotel. It was reassuring that there was a safe in the room, and the soaps provided were nice. The reception staff were friendly and looked after our baggage after check out. There are snacks/drinks vending machines, and boiling hot water dispenser and free teas on alternating floors. Overall a great value place to stay for our first trip to Berlin."

"Wonderful hotel in a great location. Many attractions were well within walking distance and there is an underground station right out the door. The hotel had everything to make our stay fun and enjoyable. And the price is quite reasonable for a major European capital. We couldn’t have been happier with this choice. "

"The first room had a smell of drains which was present throughout the outside corridor. They agreed to change the room, which returned me to happiness. Staff were good in general, although they didn’t supply or resupply the tea/coffee facilities well at all."
