"All of the staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful. We ate at the pub and the food was good sized portions and of a good quality. The breakfast was particularly good! The room was quirky and of a good size. Overall, we would highly recommend staying at the Hoops Inn."

"Wonderful property, enjoyable stay overall. Only frustrations were with not getting the set menu or 20% discount at dinner which was only realised after leaving. Breakfast service needs improving as the tea/coffee station was a drag and menus having pricing was confusing. Booked this hotel so I could get a quiet night of sleep in however our room had the ventilation unit outside the window so didn't get the silence I was excited for. "While there is nothing wrong with this hotel if you just want to sleep there, if you want food or drink find somewhere else. On Friday night they closed the bar at least half an hour early so we couldn’t get a drink, on Sunday they were short staffed so stopped serving food at 7pm so we had to eat crisps and nuts! The hotel is a long way from anywhere to nip and get food and drink, so please make sure you are suitably refreshed before coming back."
