"Okuhida Hot Spring Hirayukan is conveniently located, just a short and easy walk from the Hirayu Onsen bus terminal. A small shop beside the ryokan sells snacks and drinks, which is useful especially in the quieter evenings. Check in was smooth and the ryokan already had our Expedia reservations. As with most Japanese ryokan, copies of our passports were taken. We stayed in the Japanese Style Room, Sengakuso, Non Smoking (35 sqm). "My stay at Yatsusankan was so amazing. The surrounding town I was quiet in the winter but is full of culture, beauty, and good food. The grounds of the inn itself are serene and beautiful. The baths were so relaxing and extra peaceful thanks to their two outdoor baths. The staff is so kind and service was wonderful at all times. We had to check out early to get back to Tokyo, and the staff provided us with an early breakfast so that we wouldn’t leave hungry. I hope to return again one day. "
