"Rooms and hallways were very old and carpet in bad condition. Beds were clean, but that was the only good thing about this hotel. Breakfast was stale and limited options. There are better hotels in the vicinity, stay away from this one!"

"The lobby was shabby and carpets and stairs needed to be vacuumed. Walls need a new coat of paint and the beds were on a platform which made the mattress slide around. "

"Great place to stop along the way in your travels, espically if you are driving an EV. Hotel has free onsite overnight charging which is a huge benefit to wake up to a full “tank” espically when charging is a bit sparse in this area of the world."

"The hotel (Mount Vernon Hotel and Event Center - no longer exists under this name) has changed management and did not allow us to stay. They said they could see our reservation and were willing to cancel it, but it was booked under a previous management and they did not allow any pets, so we could not stay with our dog. They said they credited out account, but I am still being charged the full amount by Expedia and it is, so far, very difficult to contact Expedia for a credit. We ended up rebooking at another hotel so this mixup is both annoying and costly for us."
