"For 3 nights and 3 days, we had no hot water whatsoever. We could not take a shower during the entire stay. It was extremely hot outside and caused us to sweat a lot, it was very uncomfortable not being able to cleann ourselves. This was supposed to be a great weekend as my wife graduated from the University of Virginia with her PhD. But we couldn't enjoy the ceremony or weekend at all because we stunk with body order and were sticky because of the sweat. The hotel called us a week before our stay to inform us they raised the price of our stay to more than $850 for a 3 night stay And because they declared it a special event weekend. Having all other hotels booked up we had no choice but to accept the very overpriced stay. Upon checking in the hotel staff did not tell us of the lack of hot water, we found out from the guest in the next room. We called the hotel front desk and the manager said "they are working on it." We were told that each of the three nights we stayed. The staff took my name, room number and phone number but never honored our request for a major discount. Nor did they offer any discount. We are very disappointed by this. And also the fact that we booked it through expedia makes us angry at Expedia too. We will never stay at that hotel ever again and will likely be very hesitant to book through Expedia every again as our booking through the hotels themselves in the past has been better. IHG and Expedia let us down!!!"
