The common areas were immaculately kept (everything outdoors swept at least 2x per day). The pool was so clean and inviting and a great central feature in the common area. "Firstly the staff were lovely BUT the ocean view pool villa was nothing like the photos on Expedia. The photos show a beautiful view from the villa and the pool, we got the villa with another building straight in front that blocked the view, very deceiving photos. Also building works going on all day, 112 steps down to the beach and restaurants, 63 steps up to the road. We did not know about the steps so this limited our outings, not recommended for older people like ourselves."

"This property is a hidden gem at the end of a dusty road, a quick walk away from the Tamarind beach. The owners are clearly very proud of their little hotel and it makes for an absolutely wonderful stay. "I would NOT recommend this property. Unfortunately, the Deluxe Villa did not live up to its name. The bathroom had a very unpleasant mouldy smell that saturated the entire Villa making it unbearable to handle. We checked out immediately after one sleepless night, even though we were booked in for three nights. Along with the terrible door was a leaky ceiling, a problem obviously known to the owner due to the strategically placed bath mat directly underneath. Again, this Villa would NOT...

Also had no hot water to our shower and sinks (although our other villa also had no sink hot water). Shower hot water was rectified but ran out very quickly.
