Amazing hotel with wonderful staff

The staff were so helpful, the breakfasts were amazing and all the facilities were very good. There is a bubble pool, sauna, relaxation rooms and various massages that can be booked. I had the singing bowls massage it was superb.

Loved my stay here, dinner in restaurant was amazing and breakfast outstanding. Staff couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful. Even gave us a lift to train station so we could eat breakfast. Outstanding.

This was our sixth stay at the Bussola as Orta is somewhere we visit regularly. For the first time in a few visits we ate here too. We had forgotten how good the food is and having dinner and on the terrace overlooking the lake is the perfect location to enjoy it. The menu was different on each of the two nights with enough choice for most people. The only minor criticism from last time, paying for WiFi, has now been resolved and it’s free like most hotels. It’s only a matter of time until our...

We picked the hotel as the picture appealed and the room met our expectations of something really different. The shower was brilliant! Breakfast offer nice and varied.

Very nice, friendly hotel overall in a great location for those arriving by train. It is a 15-20 minute walk to Orta San Giulio but if you are reasonably able bodied it's not really a problem, we went there and back 4 times in two days and were fine! The room was modern and clean with a balcony and a nice view of the little terrace. The only problem we had was that they had forgotten to put towels in our room, which they rectified immediately when we asked them. The breakfast buffet was lovely,...

I understand there are several rooms in various locations under this hotel and we were part of a wedding party with several staying at this hotel. I understand some rooms were not great but ours was fabulous. We had a very large room overlooking the main piazza and the lake. It was stunning. Breakfast in a nearby restaurant in the same square was fantastic too. We had a wonderful stay.

Fantastic Villa. Very Friendly staff who are also really helpful. Perfect for my 3 day business trip. Will try a better month for weather next trip.

Absolutely beautiful newly renovated property! Decor and service were top quality. We had a small issue with our shower and the host sorted it immediately and efficiently. Lovely to be able to visit the wine cellar next door and taste the local produce. Highly recommended. The photos on the listing don’t do it justice at all. Recommend nearby pizza place called Fluke for dinner too. Walking distance to it.

We had a wonderful stay at La Casa nel Bosco. The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and in a beautiful, peaceful setting, making it the perfect place to relax. A special thank you to Marco, who was an exceptional host. He was incredibly accommodating and always went out of his way to ensure our safety and comfort throughout our stay. Nothing was too much trouble, and he was always available to offer help, advice, and recommendations whenever we needed them. Marco’s kindness and genuine...

Very helpful staff and great location. Lovely lake views

We had a lovely stay here and had the buffet breakfast in the morning, extremely central and only a 10 minute walk from the port and the train station. Felt like a very cosy and safe place, even had some board games available which we played

went out to stresa for my birthday as had never been for a short break. easily reached by alibus or train to stresa itself. great location, so beautiful loads to see and do. boats so easily available to taxi you about to other resorts on lake but so glad to of stayed in stresa. with the lake and views as far as you can see and the alps in distance lit up by the sun when it was out there nothing to do buy chill out, explore and soak up the scenery with lots of food and drink. hotel is 5 mins...

Everything worked well from the ease of checking in to the upgraded room overlooking the lake to the excellent, responsive staff. The visit was a delight from start to finish. Of particular note were the arrangements for breakfast and the extreme helpfulness and resourcefulness of the members of the concierge team. Can't speak highly enough of them.
