Highlight of this hotel is the rooftop sauna that you can book for a private steam and cold plunge. I booked it during the day, but I’m sure it’s even more spectacular at night.
Exactly what I was looking for in this style hotel. I love tatami mats and found it very comfortable. Of course there are no chairs. I am 74 and cheated with some of the extra pads to make a sitting place next to my bed. The public bath was excellent.
If you like Japanese breakfast and dinner i recommend using them very good. Great area perfect for traveling anywhere. Staff was amazing super nice and friendly
I wanted to give a big thumb up to the staff here. They are very helpful as I asked for the luggage delivery to the airport on my first day check in. They gave me all the information (usually it’s 1 day from Osaka to Haneda airport) but staff (Yun san) even checked and double confirmed with the delivery company afterward and informed me it’s actually taking 2 days. So I didn’t miss it. He was just taking an extra step but it’s extremely impressive.
Location is right at the Dotonbori and very close to all shops and restaurants.
The only down side of the hotel is that it’s little old and not everything is new. However staff service are excellent!!
We did not have meals at the hotel but it is right beside a few streets full of the brilliant food places (including stalls). The staff are super frendly. 10/10 would stay again.
Being close to dotonbori is a double edge sword. Good side location is convient for food, shopping etc. Bad side because its a ryokan you can hear the noise outside and the hallway. Other than that all good
The room was light and spacious. We loved the traditional feel! It was very nice to have a late evening soak in their onsen sento. They e been very helpful with the storage of our luggages after our check out for our last morning in Osaka before leaving. Highly recommend!
The location directly across from the top of Dotonburi st was awesome, everything we needed was in quick walking distance, clubs, shops, arcade, transportation. And a slew of amazing restaurants. We didn’t use all of the amenities offered, but the open air bath was very nice and the traditional tatami and futon were also like sleeping on a dream. We loved the riverside view and waking up to the sounds of the people in the morning!
