Just too far and remote from city. Else spacious and clean. Disappointed with kettle no lid, plates and spoons in kitchen area. At least plates, bowls and cutleries for lower floor to share. So in convenient to eat upstairs having so many rooms on each floor. Thank you for hospitality though in providing coffee and tea.

The outside left something to be desired, but inside, it was modernized and extremely clean and organized. IT IS A GREAT BARGAIN FOR THE PRICE. The countryside around it was also very scenic.

Solid motel for short budget overnight.
Everything done, odd layout and atmosphere, old and refurbished hospital. But for the price excellent. The gym is a really nice add-on. Kitchen equipment almost not existing - need to bring things.

Ok but.....
Should not have the word Airport in the name. €90 taxi to the airport was shocking. Very clean, very comfortable and I’d stay there again but for the love of god, hire a car and don’t be left relying on taxis. Poor service in terms of getting a drink or snack. There was no one for service and you have to make a phone call to get someone’s attention. That’s just stupid.

This place is very interesting with some amazing artistic features. I really admire the people who are making an effort to re-task a hospital of this size, it is no small undertaking and they deserve support and accolades. The wing of the hospital that has been done up is very tasteful. I discovered later that the young woman at reception who greeted me had also done two fabulous murals - one of them is huge and was as yet unfinished. Both were spectacular. I had a beautiful room looking west to the moutains, with of course a beautiful, new, comfortable bed, and brand new bathroom - very stylish. The very extensive hospital grounds are still a bit unkempt and the entry is pretty confronting, but don’t take that first impression as your lasting impression, there’s more important things to do, I’m sure they’ll be tackled later with as much style as the interior is being tackled so be prepared to overlook them for now. Enjoy the bumps and contours of the car park, I did. It is comfortable, stylish, and quite hip. One of the utility rooms of the old hospital has been re-tasked as a kitchen so you can put food (champagne) in a fridge, make tea/coffee, heat and even cook food etc. It’s quite unique, worthy of your time and money (it’s an investment in a future) and worth a stay if you need an economical place not too far from Oslo Airport Gardermoen - which, btw, is about 40-50 minutes north west of Oslo - maps are a little wanting in airport location detail.

Decent basic motel fairly near airport
I stayed here two nights: After I flew in, and before I flew out. Flying in, my connections got messed up and I arrived very late. The motel was quite helpful in getting me into a room after hours. Flying out I was leaving quite early; again the motel made it easy. I found the rooms clean and comfortable, albeit a touch on the spartan side. The internet connection was decent. Be warned that the motel shuttle to the airport costs more than the room, and that taxi fares are more than double that. Avoid both if at all possible. I had planned to rent a car on arrival and use that to reach the motel, but my late arrival interfered with that. I don't know what public transit options might exist.

What a shed! Shower was dirty and water in toilets from taps came out brown. Still don’t understand how a place which is 25km from the airport can be named in this way, very misleading. It’s the kind of place that I’d imagine could be rented by the hour...

The hotel claims it's an airport hotel. This couldn't be further from the truth. If you have a rental car, it takes 40 minutes on the freeway north of the OSL airport to reach your destination--including $7 in tolls each way. Once you're there you'll find a hotel that has free parking with great wifi and comfortable beds with shared bathrooms. I couldn't do that so I waited to take a shower at the next hotel I visited. Breakfast was an additional $12 USD. Recommended for the value traveler but the other costs of tolls and having to pay for breakfast unreasonable. I found a night at a good OSL Airport the night before for $25 USD more (3 min from the airport) with great wifi, bedding and a fantastic free breakfast. I'll stay there again on my next trip. This "airport" hotel shouldn't be called that. It's false advertising

Very Interesting Stay
This hotel is the former Stensby Hospital and is in the process of being converted into a hotel/conference center. While initially taken aback by the location and condition, I found the building, setting, and theme to be extremely interesting. I believe the hotel opened the day before we arrived, so some things were still being organized such as signage, snack bar, Wi-Fi routing, breakfast service, etc. There are currently 80 guest rooms that were formerly patient rooms and everything still has the feel of a hospital, with medical signage, call buttons, and the architectural design of an institutional building. There are new beds as pictured in the photographs. There are numerous lounges (former waiting rooms) throughout the facility, and all of the bathrooms are off the hallways, separate from the rooms. The staff was friendly and everything inside was clean. The hotel is about 1/2 hour from OSL airport and 1 hour from downtown Oslo. The hotel is close to the highway but in a rural setting. The location is very close to Lake Mjosa, various 1994 Olympic sites, and many beautiful small towns, churches and historic sites. There is a cross-country ski center right behind the hotel. This hotel has just recently opened and some areas are still being developed. The grounds are large and contain several buildings in various states of renovation. While not for everyone, I found my stay enjoyable and definitely one of the more interesting travel experiences I've had.

Am Anfang war ich etwas enttäuscht. An der Rezeption stand bitte rufen sie die Nr. an. Man bekommt die Zimmernr. genannt und kann dann auf sein Zimmer. Die Zimmer waren neu und super eingerichtet für ein Motel. Internet super. Motel liegt 34 km vom Airport Oslo aber mit direkter Autobahnverbindung. Für An- und Abreise immer perfekt.
