"I really enjoyed my stay here. You can tell they put a lot of thought into designing a beautiful and comfortable hotel. The ocean view from the room and balcony was great for sunsets. The staff were friendly and helpful, I got a booklet in English with all important information which was very useful. The beach is very nice but it was a bit dirty when I visited, which is not the fault of the hotel. I had a very relaxing stay and would love to come back."

"Stayed one night here for the experience before switching to a different hotel across the city……… regretted that decision and wished I stayed the whole time I was in Kyoto . The hotel was amazing. The private Onsens are relaxing, the old tatami mat aesthetic is very comforting and the rooms are nice and spacious. They even had free noodles as a snack at 22:30 at night. Highly recommend this hotel. I will be staying here on my next trip to Kyoto"

Unfortunately, our room had a very strong, unpleasant odour that persisted even with the windows open. After reading similar reviews, we decided against requesting a room change, fearing the issue might be the same elsewhere. It’s a shame, as otherwise the hotel was great, but the foul smell would make me reconsider staying here again."

"This hotel was mainly for the location, and the location is awesome for shopping. The room and hotel itself were okay. The rooms are a little outdated, and the beds had a few minor stains on the blankets, nothing that was terrible (all of our group had some kind of stain on the blankets in every room) but definitely made an impact on our visit to the hotel. The premium lounge is awesome, but located directly next to a smoking area, and was often just filled with smoke, which made it so we never went. Again the location is 100% worth it, and if you just want to use it as we did as a place to sleep while shopping in Kyoto, then its awesome."
