"El hotel está muy deteriorada para la ubicación, tiempo de construcción y precio. La habitación muy pequeña para dos camas matrimoniales. Sus cortinas sucias y en mal estado. La puerta del baño al querer ingresar a esté topa con la taza del baño. La taza del baño se movía había que utilizarla con mucho cuidado por estar floja, insegura e inestable. La barra de agarre para discapacitado, la tienen a lado de la puerta de cristal, poniendo en riesgo a quién utilice está. La alberca estaba sucia con restos aún de grasa por bloqueadores y con verdin. En dos ocaciones pedimos se limpiará, la primera vez nos dijeron que lo harían y no fue así. Solicitamos por segunda ocasión que limpiarán está y tampoco se realizó. Por otro lado nos fueron a tocar en dos ocasiones la puerta de nuestro cuarto, argumentando revisión de rutina, en nuestra primera noche fue echa a las 8 de la noche por practicantes, según nos dijeron al preguntar quiénes eran. Después por una señora que decía ser parte del personal del hotel, está la realizó a las 10 de la mañana, en nuestro segundo día de estancia. Al entrar al cuarto sentí el olor de los orines y vi el baño con moho, como aun estaba en el pasillo la camarista , le pedí cloro, que me dio y lo puse para que se quitara tanto el olor y limpiar de moho las paredes. Solo rescato de ahí al cantinero y al maletero. Creí que por ser de los mas recientes y en el centro y por el nombre era bueno. PERO DECEPCIÓN."

"Excellent stay! The room was very clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was delicious and everything exceeded our expectations. The property was well maintained and we really enjoyed our stay. Highly recommend and would definitely come back again!"

"Staying at this hotel felt like being in a paradise in the jungle. Our villa had its own private access to the lagoon, which is something you don’t often find here. The gardens are filled with green plants, bright flowers, and creative art. The staff is always helpful and attentive. The restaurant’s food has really improved since we were here about two years ago."

"The hotel is very beautiful, very modern. The architectural details are interesting but not always practical. For example, there are many steps that, on the one hand, are steep, on another hand, are shallow, making walking difficult even for healthy people. As my husband arrived with a recently broken leg, he had very limited chances to enjoy the outside. The view from our room was beautiful though. We met the chef and he is definitely talented but a better dining program would be welcome. With more interaction and (much) better choice of wines. The cocktails were rather good."

"We literally had the best room in the whole place. Located on the lagoon with a dock with two chairs and our own private tub out front it was like our own private paradise. The staff was sweet and friendly and gracious. We ate breakfast at the restaurant every day and got drinks and dinner from them also. Salvador was so sweet and friendly when checking us in and Abel was not only the “water activities director “ ( aka lent our kayaks and SUPs) but took us out on a boat tour with some other folks. On our second day we did the boat tour offered by the hotel and it was amazing! Abel gave us all sorts of information and education about the lagoon as we cruised… Halfway through the tour a giant squall hit and we were pelted with the rain storm, in the amazing warm water. Luckily it was all adults and we are having the best time so we all got in the water and swam and exfoliated ourselves with the sand and laughed together. Then the sun came out and we continued on and went to the Pirates Cove where we laughed and drink beer and had an amazing day . The restaurant staff were fantastic and brought my husband breakfast dessert and welcomed us every day . When we got home I asked him what his favorite part was and he said the boat ride at Bacalar ❤️ we hated to leave and will absolutely return. The water was the clearest and purest we’ve ever been in and those seven colors aren’t a joke. Thank you so much for our stay❤️❤️❤️"
