The drive and parking area are filled with broken concrete and pot holes. Three storage containers were in the parking lot. I assume they were for a remodel because the interior was nice and clean. Breakfast offered a good variety. Pool was nice.

Interior of facility was clean and you can tell that remodeling is being done. The staff was friendly and helpful. Check in was a breeze. But if i was just driving by im not sure id of stayed. They outside wasnt very pleasing to your eye.

Great looking rooms!

The hotel looked quite shabby from the outside and I was a bit hesitant but once we got into the room, I was very pleased! The furniture was very modern looking and it had a brand new flat screen tv. The carpet had very few small stains and the water pressure was awesome! It did have a slight bad smell once in the room, but I think it was from the chlorine smell from the indoor pool. The staff was very polite and helpful. Definitely will stay again if needed to travel to Ottumwa again!

Don’t stay there.

When we pulled up to the parking lot it had huge potholes that you could barely get around and there are people outside with a barbecue grill with beer and alcohol and a bunch of people like they were at a park. There is trash everywhere in the parking lot. The carpet in the room looked like it had not been vacuumed it looked dirty like it had things spilled all over it. The room smelled like mold and there was an old moldy air freshener in the closet. The hallway smelled dirty I had to hold my breath walking down the hallway to leave the hotel. The people hanging out outside the hotel looked very shady and I would never take my family there if I had little kids. I will never stay at the quality Inn in Ottumwa Iowa ever again and I may not use hotels.com. It was an overall bad experience and they had signs hanging up saying that they had won awards back in 2017. If they had won awards they wouldn’t win any now.

The bed I had in the suite was like sitting on a barrel, hard, noisy with every movement. The driveway coming into hotel is torn up full of holes and rough, needs repaired. Will tear up cars.
