We had a great stay at Harmony Guest House. We arrived late in the evening and had a smooth checkin. Our room was as described in the pictures on Expedia. The staff were lovely and breakfast was tasty. This is a basic hotel and had everything we needed for an overnight stay before catching a ferry to the Gili Islands. The price per night is low, so wasn’t expecting a five star resort. It is clean, but basic and staff are lovely. Recommend for an overnight stay.

Great place to stay

It is abit tricky to find a it is down a side alley but once your there it is a great spot, lovely and quiet. The room was as expected for the price but nice and clean. We could see the ocean from the 3rd floor verandah. The best part though is the service. Our hostess was amazing. She organised our boat transfer to Gili Air and literally took is down to ensure we were in the right spot. Fantastic. Highly recommend staying here.

Location, amazing and the staff was great!

Highly recommend! Location is great, close to the port, 1 to 2 minute walk only. It’s very clean, spacious rooms, safe, and the staff is amazing. They helped us to get to and from Harmony Guest House every step of the way. They scheduled our boat trips to and from the islands, made reservations, and got the tickets for us, and even walked us toward the port. We were heading to Uluwatu after, and they even found us a local taxi driver at a fair price. I communicated with them via WhatsApp prior to my arrival, and the staff is quick to respond and help you along your trip.

Very tired, old property with very friendly hosts

Wasn't proper bed sheets, curtains didn't close, no soap next to sink, family were really nice and friendly and there's communal areas including terrace and kitchen. Seemed further away than on map, nothing around, just farm land. Air con was good. They gave me lift to harbour, where they have other part of guest house, which appears more modern and where I thought I was staying when booking, not in farmland. Pleased it was just 1 night

We got a different room then the one we booked and they didn't want to replace it to our "deluxe room". Overall the room was very dirty with a cold water and ugly bed sheets. I would never come back.

The location was not as described on the website, so instead of a 5 minute walk to the port, I had to walk for 25 minutes with a heavy backpack. Also the communication was slow and I couldn't find any WiFi at the accommodation. Lastly, the ride the guesthouse arranged for me to pick me up at the airport grossly overcharged me for the ride. Not happy with the experience

Nos alojamos dos noches y en vez de alojarnos en la habitación que reservamos nos llevaron a otro sitio que decía ser la habitación de su hermana. Sucia, con cucarachas y poco práctica (no había ducha era una manguera y la puerta se cerraba con candado). Además olía a humedad.

Då vi hade stora resväskor som vi inte ville ta med till Giliöarna, så var detta ett perfekt ställe att ha dessa på. Personalen var mycket hjälpsamma och hjälpte oss att boka båtbiljett t/r till Gili. Vi betalade totalt 1 miljon IDR för två personer och det tycker jag var mycket prisvärt. Vi bodde här en natt då båten gick kl 09:00 på morgonen, det finns ingen A/C på rummet så det var en mycket varm natt för oss, dock fanns en takfläkt, men den svalkade inte speciellt mycket. När vi kom tillbaka från Giliöarna så hjälpte de till att ordna transport till Ubud för oss och detta ingick i båtbiljetterna. Om jag kommer tillbaka till Bali nångång och ska till Gili så kommer jag definitivt att gästa Harmony igen.

Meget lokalt

Fint lille sted, meget lokalt med indkommende personale. Vi valgte at opgradere så vi kom op på 2 sal med udsigt. Fin morgenmad Eneste minus var at der var sten i bunden af brusekabinen, lidt uhygiejniske.

Hotel looks ok from outside, but our room was nasty. Bed was TERRIBLE, dirty and so old we could hardly sleep on it. Bathroom and towels were so dirty that I didn't wanna take a shower. Very noisy place at night. Staff was nice and friendly, and we got good deal for tickets to Gili. Breakfast also ok. Walking distance from White Sand beatch, that was nice place.

Cheap tickets sold to gilis! Friendly Staff!

Located near the pier to the Gili islands - you can sleep in and take a three minute walk to the pier before departure! The best thing was that the owner sold us ferry tickets to the Gili islands at the cheapest rate we found (for a return tix/pax, Bali kuta area was offering 700,000 IDR, Padang Bai stalls were selling for 500,000 - 900,000 IDR, while we got it at 400,000 IDR from harmony guesthouse). We chose the middle range ride (Meranti Express). The ticket allowed us to get to Gili Air/Trawangan, then back to Padang Bai from either Gili Air/Trawangan or Lombok pier Bangsal. In between the Gili islands and Lombok, you can take the public boat for about $1-2. While being back in Padang Bai, there's free transfer via a car to your next hotel in Bali. If you are travelling in a group of 5, you can get the whole car to yourself! Since I arrived safely back in Bali, I would testify that the fast boat service recommended by the staff was safe and efficient. The breakfast provided was simple yet tasty (could choose from eggs/waffles with toasts, tea/coffee..) and I appreciate the effort put into the presentation of fruits! Made with love :) We stayed on the ground floor room with fan. It was fuss free and basic. I guess the only issue was my phobia of dark colored bed linens; you can't tell if they are clean and I kept thinking about it the whole night. Also, fan rooms isn't for everybody in a warm country - air-conditioned room is just a few bucks more!

Hotel war überbucht, wurde in der Pampa

Nach Ankunft im gebuchten hotel wurde ich 15 Minuten mit dem moped zu einem Haus gebracht. Lage in den bergen bis zur Stadtmitte 20 Minuten zu Fuß,konnte nicht stornieren da ebookers bereits abgebucht hatte. Zum Glück nur 1 Nacht.

The hot water was hit and miss and there was a sewer smell in our bathroom on the top floor.It was okay....for the price,and was a 15 min. walk to the Blue Lagoon with excellent snorkliing.The staff was friendly and helpful when asked a question.

Harmony - convenient and good value

If you are looking for somewhere safe and comfortable, near to the beach and dive companies, Harmony is a good bet. The owner, Made, is lovely, and really wants to make his place (and his other slightly more upmarket property further along the beach) welcoming and appropriate to the needs of visitors. His son was a bit gruff (he is the one who has created the signs which are up all over the place and give the slightly unfriendly impression - I did try to explain to Made that they might be a bit offputting for visitors). There's no sea view but the room I had on first floor with AC was clean, comfortable, with hot shower and a nice seating area on the veranda to eat the decent breakfast. Not accessible for wheelchair users but quiet and really well situated.

Verblijf in padang bai

Accommodatie was prima, schoon en grote kamers. Ontbijt was lekker. Echter bij aankomst waren onze kamers weg dus moesten we bijbetalen, erg jammer daar ze wisten dat we kwamen.

Ok for a night

Staff seem really nice, homestay is quite close to the harbour which is good. Saw a cockroach in the bathroom which was not so good. Room was dark and dated. Wasn't the most comfortable stay we've had in Indonesia but fine for one night to get boat. Negotiated a good deal with homestay for tickets on the Sindex fast boat to Gili T.

Very bad!

Da vi ankom til hotellet viste det sig at de var overbooket. vi blev indlogeret længere nede af gaden i et værelse uden vinduer med rotter på loftet. Derudover var der ikke rent sengetøj på sengene. Dont go there :(
