"This hotel has a secure parking garage underneath it. Safe access by lift or stairs to their reception desk & to rooms. There is also a luggage trolly at reception if you need it. The staff are very pleasant & helpful & the rooms are very clean. We had a lovely ocean view from our spacious room with a very comfortable king sized bed. "5 star in every way, this art deco experience is accommodation in another creative level far different from any other hotel. We stayed in the Mark Twain Suite and wow. We wont ever stay at another hotel when we visit Napier. Highly Recommend to any travellers, it wont dissapoint. Amazing restaurant and bar down stairs as well."

"Staff were kind and polite, and the cleaners do a good job but it’s very run down. Ripped carpet, holes in the walls, ripped wallpaper and chipped paint. Definitely needs work! Couch was stained and so were some of the bed covers. We won’t be staying again unfortunately."

"The room smelt like cigarette smoke, the hand basin wasn’t wiped clean and there was pie pastry on the floor behind the bathroom door. The continental blanket on the single bed had awful marks on it as well. When I checked in they asked me to pay for a room I had pre-paid online."

"This was an excellent unit with great amenities. A short walk to the CBD and across the road from the beach. Fantastic to get two bedrooms with king beds and two bathrooms, plus a giant spa bath, two heat pumps and three tvs, plus a kitchenette for the price that we paid on the winter special rate! Nice touches like local ground coffee was supplied and there was even a tea pot. We felt very spoilt. Everything was very clean and the staff were friendly. Very comfortable beds and awesome showers....

"Loved the location - view of the ocean, lots of lovely cafes nearby, right by the beach. We were in room 1, which was on the end downstairs and nice and quiet. Decent-sized, clean rooms. Loved the walk-in shower! The room had cutlery, utensils, crockery and microwave which was handy. Plenty of storage space. Easy parking. Bar and restaurant onsite so option for room service too. Would happily return! "
