The motel was fine for an overnight stay. Needs more pillows and staff needs to clean the floors better. I would not stay longer than a night, especially at their rates, it was a 70.00 a night motel, not 140.00 a night. Website needs updating to say that breakfast is on hold.

I greatly appreciate your comments about aspects of the room. I will look into the issue about the pillows as we are in the process of making more changes. About our rates, we are still in our peak season and the rates will fluctuate. The rates are slightly higher on the weekends versus our weekday rate. We do ask about discounts at the point of making the reservation and we would be happy to apply it towards your rate. We apologize profusely for the inconvenience you face about the non-availability of breakfast services. It is posted on our website and may have been an oversight. Although we are only human, there can sometimes be mistakes made. Our housekeeping staff make it their top priority in taking great care in making sure the rooms are very well-maintained, but, as I stated, mistakes do happen. I sure hope if your travels bring you back to Panama City, you will choose the Rodeway Inn again.

We do have a front desk staff member that is available 24/7, if you had notified her/him we could have got maintenance to come in a fixed that small problem for you. We stayed for 4 nights and not one time did they come to bring us new towels, take out the trash or even change our sheets! When asking at the front desk for more towels/toilet paper, they wanted us to come get them when WE brought our dirty ones to them! Also hadn’t cleaned very well from the guests before us because the drawers still had their clothes in them!

Its an older hotel, but all the rooms have been recently updated. It was clean, the king size bed we had was very comfortable and it was close to restaurants & stores. The pool was clean and it is pet friendly. The staff at the office was very friendly & helpful. We would stay there again. The rates were very reasonable .

The road noise and the entrance and exit is like trying to drive accross a ditch my new car scrubbed the ground had to cross it at an angle witch made it dangerous to turn in or out

After check-in, it took 3 sets of key cards and a manager finally coming to open the door because the lock pad was broken. Once we were finally able to get into the room, there was feces on the toilet seat, brown smudges on the shower door, burn holes in the comforter on the bed. Overall the room was dusty and just dirty. We definitely will not be booking here again.

Night mare
At first I was very pleased with the staff and my room. And I was due to switch rooms after almost 11 days there already, the house keeping staff started knocking on my door at 9 am harrassing me to no end and then they gave me 20 minutes to pack and leave the property. It wasn't even 11 yet. So then i was visited by a police officer to remove me and my pet. Meanwhile my husband was walking to cash his check of 3500.00 and we was going to book another 12 nights. And they treated us like lowlife vagrants. The police officer took my side in the matter so I will never ever recommend this place ever. I was nice through all this and kepty cool just to see if it would help but nope otherwise I regret not showing my ass. This place blows the staff are unprofessional and cold with no empathy.

Dear Nicholas,I would like for our readers to understand what is true and what is false. It is true the guest was due to switch rooms because the room type, she was in was booked by another guest. It is true we contacted her earlier in the morning at 9:30am but calling it harassment is extremely over exaggerated by this guest. The reason we contacted this guest at 9:30am was to inform her that the room was reserved so she had the time to get her belongings together. She had a lot of belongings, so management knew it would take her time to get everything together and to be out of the room by 11:00am which is our check out time. When we notified the guest at 9:30am, she mentioned her husband has a check that he is going to cash so they could extend their stay. However, the husband decided to wait till 10:45am to leave on foot to cash the check. At 11:00am is when management went to the guest room, in which case was determined she made zero attempts to get her things together. At that time, it was decided calling law enforcement would help move along the process. After they extended the first time, she knew after 3 days she would either have to check out or book more nights. The guest decided to wait last minute like she did the first time to make proper arrangements, and he blames the hotel and staff for her lack of care and responsibility as a grown adult. It took the husband to get back to the property at 1:00pm, that goes to show the lack of care and mismanagement by this couple. Once the guest was out of the room, the amount of trash that was left in the room was unreal. It took 3 hours to clean their room. Let's be real, if this guest did everything they were supposed to do in a timely manner, she wouldn't have had to take the time to write a bogus review and I wouldn't have to take my time to respond. It is very simple, check out is at 11:00am, if you know you are staying over handle your arrangements in a timely fashion. Be a better human.

The bed we slept in was the best by far! The room itself was cozy and recently renovated but the poor wifi, less than basic cable channels and outdated bathroom outweigh the positive. The vending machines outside are disgraceful! The regular m&ms were overpriced and EXPIRED! Your website says you offer coffee and tea in the lobby, neither is true . It also mentions a breakfast but that was untrue as well. The clerk when we checked out acted as though we interrupted her and asked for a kidney. I regretfully asked for a receipt and after rolling her eyes and groaning , the receipt was not filled out properly and stated we owed money when no money was owed. Won’t be staying again.

You get what you paid for, staff was really nice! The room we stayed in had a terrible sewage smell, there was trash in behind the beds, the dresser top was broken and the drawers didn’t open. The shower/bathtub had a slow drainage issue. The pool area had a bunch of trash sitting around from the previous guests. Also if you have a vehicle that sits low to the ground be prepared to have the underside scraped entering and exiting the hotel. The day we left I had a rash on my arms and legs and I had lost my voice.

Comfort at an afforable price
I found the hotel to older but clean. The bed was comfortable . Fresh linens were brought to the room each day of the stay. The place was quite except for street noise which would happen anywhere. The pool was IMMACULATE!! Very well kept.

No breakfast or even coffee. Supplied one cup coffee for in room maker. No carpet in room. Laminate floor dirty. Door so hard to open I thought the key didn’t work. Required $60 cash deposit even though I prepaid and they had my card number. At checkout I had to wait for for staff to inspect my room before I got my $60 back. Absurd!

Dear Ron,I sincerely apologize about your recent stay with us. We are an economy hotel therefore we do not offer breakfast, but, in every room, there is a coffee pot and coffee provided. I will make sure with staff that they are doing a proper job. Being human mistakes sometimes are made, but we do our best to avoid them. Upon checking in, if there was an issue with the door, the Front Desk Clerk desk should have been notified and we would have gladly change rooms for you. As stated on our website, there is a security deposit required at check in. But, because of the world we live in everyone is not honest, so we inspect every room when the guest checks out, making sure there is no damages or there is nothing left behind. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience, and I hope you will be able to visit us again.

We stayed in this property a year ago in the same room and still there's a hole in the wall from the door and still there are burn marks on the comforter. So seeing that Panama City never changes.
