Hotel Riu Palace Paradise Island - Adults Only - All Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"We were on the 6 th floor our room was fine our friends were on the 3rd floor and said their rooms were very aged with dirty curtains. Bar staff were not consistently nice, tipping didn’t seem to help which makes me wonder do they get the tips? Reservation dining staff were very friendly with really great service which to me is more Riu palace typical. We had Randolph at the buffet multiple times and his service in his section was FANTASTIC. Which again is more Riu palace experience. At EVERY Riu I have been to, arrival drink and someone takes your luggage to the room, now I don’t need that but typically the person explains the resort to you and gives tips to enjoy your stay. Front desk service top notch. This location has some work to do. Room amenities needed extra towels and such, fast service. No convenience store which seems to be at every all inclusive resort I’ve been to. There wasn’t a place to get tums, ibuprofen or just something you may have forgot. Bahamas is beautiful and this location has a beautiful beach but again this location needs some work. If it was the first Riu I went to I wouldn’t go to another Riu"
"The property has a lot to offer for everyone and is a lot of fun! My only complaint is a lack of staff at the water slides. We went during March Break - peak season and there is no excuse for not having a full staff in the adventure park. Each day 1/2 of the slides were closed at any time. This was not for maintenance but because of staff rotation because of a general lack of staff. So if you are attracted to this resort for the slides, you need to be there for a number of days to catch when your favourite is open. The resort needs to staff up during high season. Cruise ship passengers buy day passes and with so many closed slides there are long lines. Just something to take into consideration when booking. "

"Our trip to the Bahamas, was our best Caribbean experience, thanks to Atlantis Resort. It is a truly wonderful and magical place. You will need a few days to explore the entire complex. If you are planning to visit Bahamas, I highly recommend this place. You will get everything you need and expect from a tropical island vacation in this hotel and won't need to leave it for anything, for your entire stay."
"The ocean was visible from the room and the spa was nice except it was in an old facility because are we doing the new one. That wasn’t explained when I booked the spa.
Rim service was very bad two mornings. We ordered food and it never showed up waited over an hour.
The hotel is very overpriced, and the staff is not efficient because they automatically include gratuity"
