"Due to a private event we were not able to use the pool. They did allow us to look at it ( there was no private event going on at the time). Very, very small— really the size of a large hot tub. There were many small lights in the common area ( such as the outside stairs leading up to the entrance, as well in the lobby) that were not working. For a five star hotel, attention to detail is important. We were unable to control the temperature of the water at the two sinks in the bathroom ( so as you are brushing your teeth the water got hotter and hotter). We had to go looking for our luggage ( they had several hours they could have placed it in our room while we were out sightseeing). My cousin was also staying there and they waited a long time before they received their luggage. I went down to the bar to get some ice to take back to the room. They gave me two small paper cups of ice—— paper cups at a five star hotel ( really?). It was quite far from the city center but the metro was close by ( the metro is easy to navigate)."

"The location of the property was really good, just a 10 minute stroll to the end of La Rambla and the port area. We explored quite a lot of Barcelona and decided this was definitely the best area to stay as we were near so many local eateries. The room was spotless, thanks to the fabulous housekeeping team. The only thing I didn’t like was the shower over the bath which could probably do with updating but the room itself was perfect and very spacious. The added bonus of a free mini bar(soft drinks and water) was such a lovely touch. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, so much choice and as I’m gluten free I was so happy that there was a gluten free corner too! I ate very well because of this so Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou! I’d definitely recommend this hotel. I was very sad leaving!!!"
