"La Mezzaluna is a short walk from Barga Gallicano train station, and buses to Lucca. Rita is amazingly hospitable & welcoming, and did so much to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms are very nice, buffet breakfast set us up for the day. There is a bus up to Barga during the day, and a taxi back in evening.If you visit Barga, this is the place to stay. "

"After a curious approach. The owner met us there and showed us around. It was a very quite, beautiful mountain apartment. Details outdoors were evident and comfort inside was great. "Excellent service and hospitality in a wonderful old castle on top of the hill. The city square offered the best pizza-place and evening entertainment in the square with cover band playing ABBA-hits. We will definitely come back and visit again!"

"We arrived in the evening, and had a bit of a challenging checking in. I would advise to have someone who is a native Italian speaker join you to communicate with the staff. We were moved to another guesthouse as there was a mix up with our reservation, which they apologized for. Property was clean and mostly quiet. Some of the other guests were quite noisy during the night, but that was only one night where we had this issue. All the instructions are in Italian, so be sure to have a translate...
