"Lobby’s small yet homey feel, like our own living room. Staffs are super friendly and helpful. Spacious room, perfect location for shopping and dining. The only downside is the small cubicle shower place(kinda small space and floor are slippery/smooth surface)."

There is construction occurring right at the front entrance of the hotel which makes the hotel inaccessible except by foot. You only learn about the construction after you have paid Expedia. "The main elevator was very small. So if others were already inside, it would skip your floor. And the indicator lights next to call button (supposedly showing the current location of the elevator) was not synced with the indicator at top of the door. It often took several minutes to finally be able to enter the elevator. Also, the TV in my room only had 2 English language stations (CNN and BBC News. And for the last 3 days of my 7 nights stay, the CNN was not accessible- the sound and screen...

"Check in was very easy. Andrea was very kind helpful and knowledgeable. Parking was 5 min walk. Location was fantastic. We were able to do laundry and use the kitchen for some refreshments. Air con was very good and needed during the heat wave. Bed was comfortable and shower was exceptionally. Definitely will stay again. Highly recommend. Can’t say enough about Andrea he is a 10 out of 10. Thanks again for a wonderful stay."

"Property as described, furnished well appears to have been updated recently. Had two issues, which the manager worked to resolve quickly which we appreciated. First and biggest was a significant foul smell coming from the first bathroom, apparently coming up through the pipes if water not left in the sink, shower or bides - it got much better after they addressed, but still present. Second issue more minor was bed sheets not super clean. Pretty sure laundered and just laundered with other stuff...

"Actually, I am happy to rate this hotel 4-1/2 stars. During my 3 weeks of touring the N. Italy Lake District, we stayed in several 4 star rated hotels, but I really liked Hotel Gran Duca di York overall: the welcoming reception upon arrival, the very helpful staff, the great city central location within 10 mn of the famous Duomo, which was wonderful to retrieve to from the 90s temperatures in between my exploration walks. "Very nice boutique hotel close to all of the main Milan sights. Easy to walk anywhere from the Duomo to the Castello Sforzesco or the fashion district. Good local restaurants right around the corner as well. The front desk staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent and good value."
