Man får vad man betalar för

Fick en studiolägenhet, rum nr 12. Balkongen var mot stora gatan. Oisolerade balkongdörrar och väldigt högt ljud från trafiken vilket gjorde det extremt svårt att sova. Rummet var mörkt och tråkigt. Man får väl vad man betalar för. Betalade strax över 4000kr för 1 vecka. Men kan vara ett bra budgetalternativ.

Great stay - would highly recommend

Absolutely wonderful stay at The Bongos in Maleme which I would highly recommend to other travelers looking for a comfortable but no-frills homebase to explore Crete. The location was great, minutes from the beach, grocery store and restaurants as well as the bus stop for easy access to bigger cities. Parking at the property being free was a big plus! We loved the area of Maleme and were very thankful that we chose to stay away from Platanias and Chania for a peaceful experience (but still very accessible thanks to the bus that runs every 20 mins).The area was extremely safe and quiet at night even though it is on the main road. Our room was large and comfortable with a nice AC system for the warmer afternoons. The rooftop is lovely for sunset or a coffee in the morning. There's also a hot tub but we didn't try it as the beach was too lovely to leave! Access to the highway was also easy when venturing to other areas and attractions. All interactions with staff were lovely. The cleaning staff were friendly and helpful as was staff when contacting before the stay. Thanks again, we will definitely return!

Skuffende hotell, ingen hage som det stod på annonsen at det skulle være. Dette var bare et krater man så ut på fra rommet. Innestengt lukt på rommene. Selv om rommene var ganske nyopppusset og fine, var sengen som å ligge på en steinblokk og alt i et ingen god opplevelse for vår del.

The hotel is located quite near to the beach, where you can find a lot of taverna's, restaurants and bars. In the hotel room there is a conditioning system, but if you want open the windows at night be ready for a noise coming from the road and also the smell of a canalisation system. The breakfast was good, and they made me some tea on demand every morning. A big thanks to the staff for washing our clothes for a minimal price, even if they do not have such service at a hotel.

Cheap Accommodation in Crete

We stayed at Bongos as a couple for three nights as we were attending a wedding in the town of Maleme and the price seemed very good compared to other options in the area. We checked in late but our key was waiting for us at reception so it was a smooth process, the room was a good size and good location on the main room and a 5 min walk down to the beach. We chose an Oceanview Room which was in the distance but still a nice view and a good breeze on the second floor. For the price we paid I feel that you get what you pay for it was a budget price and we didn’t have super high expectations however there were a couple of things that were frustrating. The bed was incredibly hard, I like a firm bed but this bed far out I would get so sore at night and when you turn the whole bed creaked, the bathroom was also a slight issue there never seemed to be much hot water we mostly had cold showers in the three days and the shower kept on leaking. The pros of this hotel was that it had a modern fresh look, housekeeping did a good job at keeping it very clean and those were two of the most important things to me. I probably wouldn’t stay again but if you are looking for a cheap property and are happy to forgo some of the luxuries then it’s a fine choice for the price

Nice stay. Nice & clean Hotel and friendly and helpful owner family. 3minutes walk to Beach (stones) and tavernas and 5-7km to platanias. 1minute to supermarket. Nice and calm area. Yoga and jacuzzi for an extra fee. Did 2 really good Yoga classes in one week at the rooftop in the sundet and the jacuzzi. Yoga mats you can borrow at the hotel. Less than one hour to elafonissi.

Nice hotel close to the beach

The girls were so friendly and helpful, the location was the best, doing yoga during the sunset is wonderful. Eleni has done such a good job with the space and Maria is so personable. I felt at home the whole time. It really is a home from home.
