"Well located, older style motel. The main bedroom area is large with new carpet installed. Bathroom and kitchen areas are due for a refurbishment. However everything you need for a one night stop over is available. There’s onsite parking but some spaces are tricky to get into - so be patient and it’ll be fine. Easy access to fast food, supermarket and Caroline Bay. "

"We used Fairly as a base to Lake Tekapo which is a 30 minute drive from Fairlie. The Pinewood is a short drive or 5 minute walk into town on the Tekapo road so was convenient. While accommodation is slightly dated, it is clean, well presented and was value for money. Our room had a relatively new split system air conditioner which provided good space heating. "We were lucky enough to book this place last minute and so glad we did - it was amazing. Friendly hosts who provided a wonderful welcome basket of milk, juice, yoghurt, biscuits, crisps granola and bread which was a really thoughtful touch. The place is huge and comfortable and we lit an open fire which was lovely. The accommodation is isolated from the main farm and is therefore wonderfully quiet and peaceful. "The electric jug was stained and needed cleaned. The toilet brush was dirty. You couldn't open the oven door as it was stuck against the wall, and the top was pulled away from the back!!. The bed was against te wall.The motel was noisy from other guests."

"We booked a 2 bedroom unit but what we found on arrival was basically a studio with a double and single beds and a small single bedroom off it. This made things awkward as our travelling companion had to come through our bedroom/kitchen/dining room to use the bathroom. Not impressed. 😐"
