10/10 Excellent

"I think people making reservations should be notified about the parking situation. There were three couples in our party who all had separate rooms but only one couple had on-site parking. I don’t know what the criteria is for getting on-site parking. It seemed like there was not much available to begin with."

6/10 Okay

"The rooms are very close and we could hear our neighbors all night, the halls were a maze and it wasn’t easy getting to and from our room, which was a little smaller than expected. The bath tub was dirty, and you have to pay for breakfast. However the pool is fairly big and has a hot tub. They have a great gym/workout area. There’s a water park but you have to pay extra, which we didn’t know. The breakfast was very good."

Hampton House Hotel

6/10 Okay

"Pros: Property was a in a great location across from the beach, 5 minutes walk to the boardwalk. Room was a great size, the bed and pillows were comfortable. AC worked great and the shower had great water pressure. Front desk staff were very helpful and gave great recommendations for places to eat. Cons: building is a bit old so insulation is thin, I could hear the neighboring rooms guest coming and going. Also, I was able to hear loud talking and laughter all night from people walking in the hallways."

Hawthorne Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"An historic larger hotel in the center of town, this property made our tourist visit to Cape Ann easy. Free parking in hotel lot was a nice bonus. Our guest rooms was clean but needs fresh paint throughout. Broken window shades in guest rooms made keeping room dark difficult. Busy banquet room, a quaint pub, and a breakfast room provided a variety of Food and drink options. Pillows were too soft and lumpy for us. Tiny bathroom."
