"Check in was bad, we got there early (2 hours ) and just wanted to see if she could get our credit info and pre check us in so we can check us in later at 3pm. Her response as we showed up to window was “im too busy right now, check in is at 3 pm”. I’m ok with that but my problem was there were four other set of people that came after ward between 1pm - 2:30pm and were able to check in without “having to come back till 3pm”. Her response later that our room wasn’t ready was not true because...

"The property is historic so understandably older. However the furnishings could be updated, the ceiling fans were loud and the lights had dead bugs, there was no shampoo or tissues. The outside is loud with frogs and roosters. Overall the property could use a deep cleaning and updated furnishings."

"My room was very clean and the staff (especially clement!) were so kind and very helpful! My room AC worked perfectly and the location was great for what I was looking for. My only complaint is that it was a bit challenging to slide my bag under to store it and be able to come down from the top bunk without stepping on top."

"Nice hotel but it's a stretch to call it a 3 star hotel (hotel rating not Expedia rating) at least by USA standards. Reception and the restaurant are located on the beach while the rooms are across the road (the only road on the island). On the positive side is great, friendly, helpful staff, very nice beach, included decent breakfast and an above average, reasonably priced restaurant. The latter two are more important because there are very limited number of restaurants on the island...

"This is a hidden gem! Love the location as it's away from the hustle and bustle of Apia but not too far. It was very clean; the executive room I was in was perfect, and it was quiet enough even with events on in their main area. I will definitely look to book with these guys again; the staff were amazing. Love the shower outside; I just didn't have hot water, which I could've followed up on, but I was too relaxed and chilled to bother. 10/10 for me!"

"I only stayed overnight but our rooms were clean. The AC was strong. Buffet breakfast is a bit expensive but it’s Hawaii so it’s to be expected I guess. Outdated rooms but it still did the job."

"Mold and mildew EVERYWHERE. The sheets looked unwashed and dirty. Room looked like it was never swept, mopped, or dusted. Window handles were broken so only half of them opened. Door had giant gap at the bottom. Everyone in my party woke up with headaches. We bought shoes just to take a shower because it looked so unclean. Hair from previous occupants were all over the beds, shower, sinks, and toilets. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful."
