Poor hotel

I'm a frequent traveler. This hotel is definetely not a 5 stars one. I am a hotels.com Platinum member and I did not get any perks. The receptionist did not explain anything and checkin is very slow, service is mediocre and restaurant is very crowded and very noisy. But the best one : booked 3 rooms. We found crockroaches in 2 of them. Pool and food are good, though. Way to go.

Just returned from this hotel and it wasn’t a good experience, the hotel looks lovely but it’s a different thing once you’re in there. No plates for food, tables full of used dishes, food all over the tables, food not brilliant and very long waits in que for food, staff are rude when you ask them to clear table, no sun loungers anailable by the pool if you don’t put your towel on them at 5am, absolutely ridiculous!! I seen people paying pool staff to keep them sun loungers, towels were left on loungers all day, there are signs everywhere saying you cannot reserve sun loungers with towels…. It was just a free for all. Rooms are nice but we paid for a sea view, which we didn’t get, as we was told the hotel was full. Carpets in the hallways look really dirty and nasty, shop in reception is a rip off, I have been to many hotels in port el kantaoui and I would not return to this hotel, there are better hotels for less money, don’t waste your money on this hotel.

We stayed as a family of 10 for 6 nights. The reception staff were welcoming and check in was quick and easy. The staff and animations team were really good. They would always try and get the guests involved in the entertainment and activities. The rooms are spacious but are in need of renovation and a deep clean. Bring your own shower gel, as we asked everyday for a top up but never got any. The walls and carpets in the corridors are horrendous. The corridors make you feel like you need a shower after walking through them. They have energy saving lights in the corridors which is a good idea, however half the sensors do not work so you have to walk in darkness. My father who is 84 and walks with a walking stick nearly fell on numerous occasions. There’s random equipment left in the stair wells which is a hazard. The elevators were volatile and some were out of action. The swimming pool was a good size, it was clean and had an area where you could lay down. The spa facilities were not great, average at best. We decided to book some treatments and the massage was good. The drinks are local drinks. If you wanted branded spirits there was an additional surcharge. The hotel is advertised as having 5 restaurants but actually there is the buffet restaurant and one themed restaurant. There was a variety of food, however it was very canteen like. The beach was nice and clean. Unfortunately you get vendors trying to sell you things which leave you unable to relax.

Althought this is one of the best hotels in sousse, the service is very poor in general except for 2 kind gentelmans, lotfi at the reception bar and issam at the pool bar, most of employees seems unhappy and make a huge effort to offer an ordinary service, this is my second stay in this hotel and before corona it was much better, management is poor, registration is disorgonized, i won't recommand anyone to stay here for now, if you are planning a trip in the area it would be much better to rent a villa near the beach.

The only negative I have is one of the Bell hops keep asking me for money and my friend for money and buy him things. This was very shocking and I have stayed at this hotel before and never had this issue. Very disappointed in this matter.

The hotel is overrated and like most of 5 star hotels in Tunisia doesn't deserve their 5 star. The AC is not working at all in most of the hotel. The reception is very hot you can't stay there for 5 minutes. You pay very high price but the quality of the service is very low. The food is disgusting. They closed the restaurant a la carte. Only a disgusting buffet. You pay very high price then you don't find a place to stay at the beach if you come late. There is no staff there to help. Only some bootlicker for the foreigner tourists.
