Holiday Homes in Portes d'Ariège Pyrénées

What was unique was when we sat down to dinner, there were two other guests and the owners sat around the same table. More like a dinner party than a hotel restaurant scenario.

We thoroughly enjoyed are stay! The pool and AC were a welcome relief from the heat. The hosts were excellent and we loved hearing about the work they’ve done to the house and the history of the delicious cassoulet they served up in the evening. I wish we’d stayed for longer.

Lovely hotel, beautifully and tastefully renovated and furnished. (Inc air con and all mod cons - pretty bedroom and modern shower room) We were welcomed so warmly by Ghislaine and her family, including their very cute dog! The village is pretty quiet and so they very kindly booked us into a restaurant a few miles away overlooking the river. Staying here was a great alternative to a bland chain hotel close to the airport for our morning flight.

Wonderful hosts, couldn’t have been more accommodating. Great room, great location, despite the heat we managed to stay cool, had use of the pool. Would recommend to stay here if you are ever in the area.

stunning location - rustic French chic Beware the pizza/bar closes at 9pm secure garage for my motorbike was a welcome bonus

The welcome and the care of Marie and her family were outstanding and there was a determination to make it feel as though we were part of the family. Our room (Marquis) was lovely - very large and full of character but with mod cons, comfortable seating and a very comfy bed. It also had an attached small room with 2 single beds we didn't need this as it was just the 2 of us. Breakfast, both indoors and outdoors depending on the weather, were fresh and tasty with the opportunity to eat as much as...

What a gorgeous stay at a beautiful chateau. We had the most peaceful stay here - very welcoming staff who were so friendly. We felt incredibly special and well looked after, and cooked for. The air conditioning and cool room were so well appreciated in the heat wave. The property is gorgeous, quiet and so relaxing. It was a perfect stop off on our trip.

Lovely shabby chic style hotel with lots of upcycled features within a renovated collection of buildings around a central courtyard. Attentive welcome from the owner and lots of nice touches, such as the gifting of a delicious homemade chocolate dessert on our final night. Makes a pleasant change from overly commercialised and formulaic hotels, where you are just part of a pipeline of guests - this feels more like staying with family or friends. Highly recommended

Comfortable spacious room. Just about walking distance from centre of foix. There is a local bus service but it doesn't go into the evenings

Stylish modernisation of a traditional property. Very comfortable.

Quiet, remote hotel. Perfect pool size for the number of quests. Staff very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

Jerome and Fanny are absolutely brilliant hosts. Charlotte
